buwitre1781
I dont think Phil would accept knicks coaching job even if he is offerred hundred folds his salary. Phil prides himself on running his things na hindi niya magagawa with dolan running new york's front office. Quote Link to comment
Droidz1979
And the Knicks win again on the road against a legit team in Philadelphia that is back to full strength with Hawes manning the post with a score of 82 vs 79. Amare topscored with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 blk while J-Lin contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist, 1 steal and 1 blk. He actually had a poor scoring for the 3 quarters and ended with a 4 out of 17 field goal but was perfect from the line scoring 10 points in the 4th to carry the Knicks to a grind fest defense oriented game. Carmelo had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assist while Tyson Chandler only had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blks. JR Smith led the bench with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. The key here was of course the consistent D as well as Amare playing a big man's game and finally living up to his billing as a franchise player and J-Lin finally getting the calls on the fourth and making his free throws. The Knicks are on to their 5-game win streak which is the second longest in the Knicks history after a coach has been fired. Hope the streak continues against Toronto on the road, go KNICKS! BrightestStar
The Celtics halted the Bucks' 6-game streak! Can the Knicks do the same thing? Quote Link to comment

Droidz1979
Congrats Lakers for another win! Dude, you lost? Finally, they beat the crap out of the Pistons with the score of 79 vs 101. Amare topscored with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assit and 2 blocks while followed by Chandler with 15 points, a beastly 17 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 steaks and 1 block; Melo also had 15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, JR Smith led the bench with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 steal; J-Lin had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist, 2 steals and 7 TO's (the bad part). The downside for the game is that Amare strained his back early in the third and did not return for the rest of the game. Hopefully it wasn't that bad that he could still play on their next game against the Bucks which is a critical game since they're only ahead by a few points for the 8th spot who just lost today against the same Indiana team that the Knicks mopped on a back-to-back home-and-away game. Add to the fact that Amare has been playing like a beast for the past games since D'Antoni got fired, good thing Melo picked up the scoring slack on the third while the bench gave the starters the much needed rest on the 4th. Jared Jeffries is also out for at least 2 weeks for an inflamed knee so I guess taking a charge for a living does take a toll on ones body Go Knicks! Quote Link to comment

Droidz1979
And the Knicks just further narrowed the gap by beating the Bucks with the score of 89 vs 80. Amare (bulging disk at the back) and J-Lin (sore right knee) did not play this game who were rested after suffering some injuries on the prior game. Good thing Melo showed up tonight and scored 28 points, grabbed 12 boards, dished 1 assist, had 1 steal and 1 block; Tyson Chandler had 13 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block; Baron Davis who started in place of J-Lin scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished 7 dimes, had 1 steal but also had 9 TO's (the bad); Iman Shupert had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assist and 1 steal; bench was again led by JR Smith with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 steal. The key for the game again is defense having limited Monta Ellis to 4 points while Jennings only scored 15 ; Mike Dunleavy topscored for 26 points but had zero points in the fourth quarter where games are supposed to be decided. The depth of the Knicks finally showed tonight also as even though the Knicks lost its top offense and playmaker in Amare and J-Lin, the rest of the squad picked-up the slack while Melo took care of the rest. Still, you'd hope that the two get back soon as they next play the Orlando and each win/loss matters to its play-off position aspirations. Go Knicks! Quote Link to comment
