bods1000 Posted April 29, 2014 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Out of boredom I once watched a video of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and to say that it enchanted me beyond belief and expectations is an understatement. Watching all those movements - from the frenetic conducting of Vladimir Azhkenazy, the swaying and bending at the hips while his hands described motions in the air, to the synchronous arm movements of bow to strings of the violinists to the expressive and emotive faces of the flutists brought goosebumps to my flesh. It was so lovely. They were playing Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5 and it was beautiful. Hope to get a copy of it soon. What an intro to classical music. Quote Link to comment
