Condo Unit Or House & Lot?

Recommended Posts

Things to check before deciding on whether you want a house & lot or condo.

1. Convenience
-Is it near your work? Commute friendly? Establishments that will cater to your needs? Parking?

2. Daily expenses
-Big trade off of living in a condo is the price of goods and services since most probably you're in a business district or near schools but if money is not a problem and #1 ticks for you then go for it!

3. Lifestyle
-If you're a frequent traveler, galaero/era, work outside type of person then maybe going for a condo is good for you.

4. Maintenance
-It's usually more expensive to maintain a house because of the size vs a condo unit. Majority of the time you'll have to search for your own maintenance guy vs condo since they have their own maintenance crew RE: Water, Electricity, Pest issues, etc. Higher monthly dues for condo though.

5. Business
-If you're looking to buy a house/condo for business purposes:
Airbnb: Income will depend on # of books so you'll probably need to do more to market it. Upside is if you can sell it out monthly then returns will be much faster as long as you're consistent with it.
Rental: Steady monthly income as long as you have a tenant w/c usually have a 1-yr lease contract. Less stress on finding clients vs airbnb.

Goodluck!
