searchbug2002
Does anyone have a referral as to who can reset the chip on print heads and print cartridge for HP Design Jet Plotters? We have a HP Designjet 1050C plotter. We seldom use it. The Print heads as well as the Print cartridges (separate from the print head) are considered consumables. The problem is these "consumables" are extremely expensive and have an "expiration date" (which is usually just a year). Since we seldom use our plotter the ink levels are still very high and the printheads are still physically in good working condition. However, if the expiration date has already been reached, the plotter will start reporting an error message and will not work normally. I hope someone can help me regarding this matter. Also, if you could recommend a company that services and does maintenance on HP Designjet plotters, that would be great. We are not quite satisfied with our current supplier whose office is located in west ave., qc. thanks and more power to this site. Quote Link to comment

You can use it actually, provided you install the applications (with the drivers included) needed to make those buttons work. Usually you can download those applications at your laptop manufacturer's website. Edited September 2, 2007 by Carlito4977 Quote Link to comment

They can actually do something about it. But since this is a free site, we cannot force them to do so. This site is a lot faster compared to PinoyExchange.com by the way. Quote Link to comment

deus
Question about rams: I'm currently using 1GB dual channel Kingston Hyper-X DDR400 (Registered and ECC) Rams on ASUS SK8V and I am about to add another 2GB dual channel only this time i will be using Crucial rams (Registered and ECC) with the same CAS Latency as Kingston. In short i will be installing 2 identical but different brands of dual channel RAMs. The mobo manual does not mention about using different brands but says only that a pair of identical rams should be installed in the configuration shown (blue and blue, yellow and yellow). My Hyper-X model is not manufactured anymore by the company so i have to get another brand with the same specs. Now, has someone already done this type of configuration and worked or there can only be one brand of dual channel rams installed? Thanks. Edited September 17, 2007 by deus Quote Link to comment
