butchochoi
honga mga veterans,,,, wala ba tutorials para sa mga baguhan??? puro usapang veterans wala na tutorials para sa mga newbie....... Read the manual first, then gawin mo yung mga nakalagay dun and try to experiment... Trial and error muna... Kaya siguro siya gnawa eh para maturuan ka na din sa pag-gamit ng cam mo... For example, sa Av-Mode, Try mo muna "what if naka f3.5 ako, ano kaya kalalabasan ng picture?" Click! "ah ganito pala... Now, what if naka f22 ako, ano kaya difference?" Click! "Ah ganun pala..." Ganyan pre, slowly but surely, you'd get grips on your dslr... Ganyan ang ginawa ko eh... Read the manual first... Yan ang dapat hindi naka-auto, kasi it wont read for you... Then join ka sa mga forums about digital photography, back read ka muna ng mag back read about the basics, until may question ka na... Quote Link to comment
butchochoi
I need some help on deciding what camera to buy as a starter kit. Any tips? What I currently have is a point and shoot camera a nikon s8. The best would be to do some research first... What would you be needing it for? If you're only going to shoot your family and pets, an entry-level cam would be nice like Canon 400D or 450D, Nikon D60 (though some lenses wont auto-focus on it) Bakcread also... Very helpful... tracker_18
matagal na pala tong thread na to pero ngayon lang ako naka visit I bought a DLSR just recently. Its a Sony Alpha 200 with 18-70mm kit lens. It may not be as popular as the Nikon and Canon brands but its a good entry level camera. Medyo may kamahalan nga lang ang Sony lenses kaya I go for third party lenses like Sigma and Tamron. I heard marami ng accessories mabibili ngayon sa Hidalgo sa Quiapo pero for Canon and Nikon brands lang. Kung meron kayong mga friends na nasa UK, US or Canada, why not try Amazon.com. Dun ko nabili mga Sigma lenses ko and other accessories. Sad to say, nag uumpisa palang ako sa art ng photography and I've been trying to read books on macro and landscape shooting. Sana nga may photography group na pwedeng salihan dito sa MTC so we can share and learn new techniques. Good day everybody and happy shooting! Quote Link to comment

Mang Joe
One misconception I always see/hear is when beginners think that a much expensive camera will make them learn faster which is absolutely wrong. You can have a D40, a 400D or even a film camera and still get good shots and learn. I know someone who wanted to learn - he bought an expensive camera and got impatient.....He sold the camera after a few months. Lesson, wag mag madali Quote Link to comment
