I'm thinking of buying this model for my wife since she likes a music phone with a decent camera. Would this be a good buy? If so do you guys know of any reputable stores to get this? Ideal if they accept card payments also.

 

buying 5800 because of music is :thumbsupsmiley: , but buying this one coz of good camera..think not...if budget permits..why not go for nokia n97

Well, for one my wife doesn't really like an over complicated looking phone, and I'm not into buying 20K+ cellphones either. Seems too extravagant.

Doesn't make sense, the new version and the present version of 5800 have the same hardware specifications.

Does anyone else get certificate errors when installing apps? My apps are signed but im still getting errors.

the 5800 navigation edition have lesser megapixel cam and a smaller built in memory ! depends on your preference which to get , but even it have a GPS , it won't keep up with a dedicated GPS !

how true. and garmin units (like my etrex vistaC) have more functions too, not to mention it never hangs (at least in my 6 years of experience). but compared to any pda-based gps, which hangs frequently in gps mode, 5800 is much more stable. it hanged on me only twice, and it was during a very long trip.

 

our group's using the latest rpmap v6.5, but it's sooooo slow. i was one of those who fell back to v3. the thick database of v6.5 is admirable but it works much better in dedicated gps

i was with some friends who worked at dubai a few months ago. the 2 units of 5800 units they bought frequently hang. i suggested they take those to the nokia center for check up. this serves as a warning to be cautious when buying cellphones from dubai: another friend bought his iphone3g there and got the same problem

the nokia 5800 xpress music phone is really a nice phone,nice features,but price is way too high,hope that nokia will lower the price of this kind of cool phone so that many can afford it...
