Video Editing, Cd / Dvd Conversion, Burning, Large Files Etc

Recommended Posts

ganun ba yun.... sneaky, hehehe!! thanks for the info bro! :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley:

I suggest you to buy a manufactured DVD-RW instead of buying a converted DVD-ROM to DVD-RW. It's just a waste of money.  :thumbsdownsmiley:  Just my opinion.  :hypocritesmiley:

problem kasi with a manufactured DVD is hindi lahat detectable ng BIOS at start-up. although I agree na anything modified by a third party is not advisable, minsan eh nakakatsamba din. that's why I am asking some personal experiences nang naka-try na.. :)

i don't think it would be possible to convert a DVD-Rom to a DVD-RW unless you replace the entire unit...

so kung ang nasa laptop mo is a DVD-R drive and u want a DVD-RW, you should buy a DVD-RW drive that is supported by your laptop.

But if i were you... and if indeed its worth some 3K to "upgrade/modify" your DVD-R to DVD-RW, I would suggest you buy an internal DVD-RW drive for PC, buy an external casing (USB2.0) and you have an instant DVD-RW that does not compromise the drive or your system. It would most proabably cost the same or a little less even....

i think n that would be best rather than risk damaging the working DVD drive. concern ko ng is if ever you would buy a USB2.0 n DVD-RW, does it need an external power supply to work? also, backward compatible b sya s USB1.1??

for example, meron ako gustong i-cut na clip from a VCD, how do i do it? what software should i use?

you can use Vegas. if you're going to use it, you have to rip/download the video clip onto your machine, drag & drop it on the timeline, select the portion you want and delete the rest then save it as either an .mpg or. avi file.

Avid Free DV http://www.avid.com/freedv/resources.asp

The above is a FREE video editing software from AVID. There are other paid versions. For the cheapest priced video editing software, you can get ULEAD or Pinnacle Studio DV (US$100-150). The best value editing software in my own opinion is AVID Liquid Version 7 priced at around US$499. It is a complete video editing suite, with VCD/DVD authoring capability, and music generating software.

The others in this price range US$499-$700 are: Adobe Premiere Pro 2, and Vegas software.
