LostCommand
Fortune is a woman, and favors the bold - Niccolo Machiavelli. There is no surety upon this earth. Only opportunity - Douglas MacArthur May God forgive you, for I never can - Queen Elizabeth I I visited their final resting places all, on a lonesome pilgrimage. When your turn comes and the headstone is made ready, what shall they engrave? What had you lived for? For the red truth is that we are all dying, and have little time left. What are you spending your dying days on? LC Edited November 2, 2012 by LostCommand Quote Link to comment

LostCommand
I do not believe in some "divine" Karma punishing or rewarding anyone's deeds. I mean, study history, and weep. However, I do believe in personally inflicting well-deserved "disciplinary" karma onto others, whenever possible Of course, while making it appear like the garden variety Karma, LC Quote Link to comment

Bugatti Veyron
Follow Christ's 2 greatest commandments. Love God will all your heart, all your mind and all your soul. And the second is love your neighbor. Easier said than done. If we strictly followed the commandment to love one's neighbor, explain to me why intrigues in almost every activity of human endeavors continue to flourish. There are intrigues among family members; among friends; among people in the corporate world; within the MTC Community, among politicians, among nations. It even extends among leaders within the Catholic Church. Clearly, loving one another is a utopian ideal. It does not or rarely exists on earth where selfishness, greed, hatred, envy, back stabbing, etc. causes strife and intrigues. I try my best to avoid intrigues, whether within the family, among my officemates, my friends, and even within the MTC forum where intrigues are very much alive. My small contribution and my attempt to follow Christ's commandment to love one another is always at the back of my mind. Again as I said, loving one's neighbor is much easier said than done. And yet we are commanded by no less than Jesus Christ to follow this command. If we cannot follow this command, I don't see how going to church on a regular basis is going to justify our actions to God when we die. He might label us pharisees or hypocrites who pretend to love God (because we want to show people we love HIm by going to church) when in reality, we did not follow his command to love one another. For whatever it's worth, I hope people remember these two commandments. Because Christ Himself said there are no greater commandments than these two.
