i thnk i have surpassed the 200 mark. collects from different genres. but barely seen them.

my philisophy would be better that i have it and watch it when i feel like it rather than borrown and find out that its been rented out. a frustratng thing it would be.

am partial to comedies and science fiction and oh horror movies.

for my favorite sci-fi or fantasy movies i always buy either in R1 or R3 format, basta orig. for so-so movies that i just want to watch to k*ll time i just buy the RQ (region quiapo).

I collect DVDs pero so far, majority are war movies:

 

1. Band of Brothers

2. Das Boot (German war movie)

3. Downfall "Der Untergang" (German war movie on Hitler's last days)

4. Stalingrad (German war movie)

5. Cross of Iron

6. Saving Private Ryan

7. Manila: Open City (Eddie Romero's movie, 1968)

8. As Trumpets Fade

 

Western:

1. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (Clint Eastwood)

 

Eddie Romero's Horror B-Movies from the late 60s/early 70s: (They have quite a following here in the US and are featured in Chillers' Conventions every year.)

1. Mad Doctor of Blood Island Trilogy

2. Terror is a Man

 

Animation:

1. The Critic (featuring John Lovitz)

I myself is a collector of DVDs. Like I said before. I have a collection of both original and pirated DVDs. Up to this writing, I have a total of 1500+ DVD Disc (500+ Titles).

 

What can I say.... I just like watching and rewatching those movies.

 

@ sabaku_no_gaara - Bro current price sa Quiapo is Php50.00 with plastic case, 45.00 without. Php45.00/disc dun sa mga series. Some are 3 or 4 for 100.00. Kailangan mo lang magkaroon ng suking binibilhan. Mahirap kasing magsauli o magpapalit ng other titles kung may scratch yung media side ng dvd.

Yup sa may tapat ng jolibee, sa hidalgo. Maraming klase e. Yung iba HMV, then yung iba nakaplastic o box naman.

this may be OT but can u collectors tell me how do u store your dvds...i am starting to collect (i got 5 and counting) - i am thinking racks, boxes etc? pls tell me how does your storage looks like

for me.... dahil sa dami na ng collection ko... nilagay ko sila sa sleeves... yung mga nabibili sa cdr-king. then nakalagay sila sa cdbox. para madaling hanapin.

i've been collecting war movies. all original. i already have 50 movies in my shelf. sarap tingnan. kapag may sale bili agad. usually sa future shop or bestbuy ako naghahanap.
