johnlove
I agree. Many people always blame the rains for the conditon of asphalted roads. They shouldn't blame the rains. They should blame the contactors for using sub-standard asphalt. And ulitimately blame the government agencies that forced the contractors to use sub-standard asphalt because of kick backs contractors pay to unscrupulous government officials.Correct, but it also show how well tolerated corruption is among the people. Bugatti Veyron
Correct, but it also show how well tolerated corruption is among the people.I'd say the toleration of Filipinos towards corruption is high. People have gotten so used to all the corruption going on around them that they've learned to accept this as a way of life. They've become inured and callous through so years of unchecked corruption. Correct. Corruption is a way of life here. Normally, for government projects, especially with the DPWH, SOP runs around 30- 40% and 10% advance before the award. Quote Link to comment
johnlove
On the other hand, if there is no corruption, & all the roads built last for years, the contractors are afraid that they would go hungry in a few years. Quote Link to comment
maxiev
Was wondering if someone could give advise as to how long the life is of a regular car battery. My car's an automatic and I'd like to know how long I should keep the old battery before it needs replacement. I don't want to be in a situation where I can't start the car when I'm on my way home. But if you start/stop the engine more frequently mas mabilis sya madedeplete. Quote Link to comment

seandevlin
Warranty card on mine says 15 months, though from experience it lasts a bit more than that. The current one is 16 months and performing well pa rin. Quote Link to comment

Piratebay
Check mo if may leak na yung shocks mo. And try pressing down rear of your car, if pag release mo nag bounce ng malakas yung rear portion ibig sabihin sira ang shocks. Pero usaually sabay pagpalit ng 2 shocks para pantay ang sasakyan. mr_kindred23
Use kayaba brand for your shocks for durability and replaced tires approximately every 6yrs or if pag pudpud na tire thread mo which ever comes first. tnx sir sa info...sa shocks eh napalitan naman na ..made in japan yng nahanap kong parts..i forgot the brand pero ok naman siya..kasi mostly sa mga store ask nila kung ano car mo..what year and model...then may listahan sila kung ano shocks available for the model of the car...and about sa gulong..tnx sa info...yun din sabi sa amin ng mga store owner..mostly 5 to 6yrs talaga dapat nagpapalit na...again tnx sa info. camus
Anyone out there know the difference? At EDSA cement is used and there is always deblocking that causes traffic the whole weekend. At C5, it is asphalt and overnight everything is fixed. Why the difference when both are DPWH projects? Why is cement also used in EDSA while asphalt is used in C5 and roads abroad? You need both concrete and asphalt. Concrete for strength and asphalt for softer and smoother ride. Concrete layer should be about 1 feet thick, asphalt about 6 inches. Here in the Philippines we cut both in half and that's why madali masira. Concrete natin around 6 inches lang, asphalt only 3 inches. And sometimes the concrete is exposed, they don't even bother putting asphalt on top. Probably they do that on purpose, so every year meron project where you can get kickbacks. Edited June 4, 2016 by camus Quote Link to comment
