jedimaster
I consider picking clams as fishing, how about you guys? I do this 1x a week. It's a walk of 1 mile and a short jeep ride of another 1 mile. I pick up Venus clams good for 2 day worth of food. This is the time of their spawning. Each female spawns about 8 million eggs a year. That is why even if fish folks like me get to our spots each morning to fill up our buckets, clams don't run out of supply. And the only reason I do this 1x a week is I am closer to fish spots (real fish not clams) and shrimp spots. If clam spots are 2 miles north from my residence, squid spots are 2.5 miles south. However, catching squids is way harder as they tend to be at the bottom or sea bed and also, it's more expensive to catch them as one needs to rent a boat (I don't own one and would not want to own one). HarryFootahp
We use to go to twinlakes sa Laguna before just to fish and cook and camp. That was pre-pandemic. Nakakamiss din. 🥹 Quote Link to comment
Azrune
I was a naughty child. May fish pond malapit samin since may entrance yung catch and take home dun. also they would weight the fish that you caught so I got creative. I would just go sa edge of the property nila then dun ako nagfifishing for free. This place is along the main road so I could do it. I would catch and take home large bangus fish like a kilo each. I would just take home 1-2 fishes per visit ko dun. People don't mind a child fishing. Pag nareach ko na quota ko na 1-2 fishes per visit pag may nahuhuli ako then pinapakawalan ko na. This was way back 2000s ha. Quote Link to comment
