All About Drummers

Recommended Posts

travis barker has solid chops

don't let his playing in blink 182 fool you, the guy has legit skills.

but yeah if you put him against those...

but the list is wrong anyway

a best drummers list without Dave Weckl is incorrect.

that is a best ROCK drummers list.

it's certainly NOT a best drummers of ALL TIME list.

so true, travis started out with jazz before learning different styles of music. his discipline on rudiments

is evident in his drum-playing...its unfortunate that he rose to fame as a punkrock drummer.

he's efficient but still not a choice on my best drummers list..

as for Weckl, he'd be 4th or 3rd...

I'm glad somebody has mentioned Danny Carey of Tool....really great chops...

For old time drummers, I would pick Ginger Baker over Bonzo.

Jazz drummers galore - I would say Tony Williams impresses. Even Miles Davis was aghast and kept his distance from him when they were working together in Filles de Kilimanjaro. Jack deJohnette deserves some mention because of his solid body of work in almost any style and any artist he was playing with. Max Roach (who just died) and Buddy Rich. And who can forget the great Elvin Jones, especially with his work with Coltrane...

oops sorry guys naging jazz na hehehe
