amalgama
work muna bago business. Pangsuporta mo kasi yung work para kung sakaling di ka magtagumpay sa business anjan si work Quote Link to comment
harmless0810
having a business is better than working for somebody else. ang downside lang ay iyung mga regulations at taxes. pakiramdam mo every year nadadagdagan ang mga ito. but the earning potential is higher and mas flexible ang time mo. some business owners have sidelines. i have one now. the more sources of income the better. simplyeric
if you are outgoing, fast thinker, courageous, easily bored, risk taker, then do business. but take note you have to have either a big capital or a good product to make it big. not all businesses flourish. if you want to play it safe, willing to follow but has a drive to lead one day, be an employee if you are lazy, then practice this with a smile, "do you want fries with that?" adiida
Quote Link to comment

Google
unless you have a business background like: - may business ang magulang- trained for handling a business in all aspects (including operations, finance, hr, product, sales and marketing) go for the business. but kung wala, an individual may need to study first and should have the experience of such... hindi naituturo ang day to day business operations sa schools or even sa MBA. Otherwise, practice delivering junk food from point A to point B in 15 mins. Edited October 19, 2012 by johnlove Quote Link to comment
MG214
For me, it should be your "passion" that determines your success in business. Meaning you enjoy selling/making the thing that you are "selling-promoting". Bonus nalang if maging hit yung item mo and you become rich...... Iam quite sudden for people who go into business to pay their bills or worst to get the "perks" of being a boss etc... Try to read about the success stories of some of the BIG titans of the industry and you will get the idea yung common trait they have...(e.g. Apple, Microsoft even our own Jolibee and Mang Inasal) Statistics also shows 9 out of 10 new business fail.  Uso run ngayon mga mag franchise pero marami parin failed venture. Franchising is jumping a few steps into business because you don't have to set up a "unknown brand or service" you buy a franchise primarily to buy the franchisees experiences. Learning already from their failures and success. Hope this helps : ) Quote Link to comment
hackme113
i agree with the above posts. both has pros and cons, i prefer being employed until it stops to be fun, in the future definitely bussiness Quote Link to comment
Brando_Matias
Advise for new grads: 1. Apply and land a job that works for you. I mean it doesn't have to be related to the course you finished but something you think you can excel in. If you land a job that is close or fit for the course you finished then good for you. Learn how to relate to different types of people and how to be a professional. 2. If you have work already, try to look for any investment opportunity that you can do part-time but make sure it is legit. Check online and ask the people who have already done it. If an opportunity comes your way, be open-minded. As a saying I came across goes, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." What if biglang magsara yung kumpanya or ma-aksidente ka paano ka na??? At least kung lets say may part-time business ka, anuman mangyari sa yo may fallback ka. Speaking of which, send me a PM if you're interested in a part-time business opportunity. Thank you and God Bless. staringatdsun
Try both. As they said both have their pros and cons. More importantly you have to analyze your own personal circumstance and that is different from person to person so what will work for someone will not necessarily work for someone else no matter how similar their situation is. Choose to do what makes you happy/content not what you think will make you rich. Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
reikko1008
If you don't have the funds, be an employee and save up for your future business. Quote Link to comment
