Where Do You Go When You're Lonely?

Sleep and silence is my best friend nowadays.

i go out with friends, i am the type who sulk. i party. as barney stinson said: "when you get sad, stop being sad and be awesome instead."

There are a few places I go to when I'm lonely:

 

1. The gym. I sweat out my issues;

2. The mall. I shop for shoes. For awhile, nothing exists, just me and glorious shoes;

3. Bar. I like to drink and ponder and have fun. No use in just sulking. It takes too much energy.

Anywhere that's quiet and comfy, I just close my eyes and go to my inner self and reflect on everything.

when i was single, i would just stay all day and night in my bedroom and would just go out to eat or go to the bathroom. now that i'm married, i would go out alone and watch a movie by myself just to give myself a break.

Rooftop, or some place higher and more quiet where I could just doze off.

near the sea if its accessible. but in most cases, when i'm really sad and depressed, an adoration chapel is the best place to go. oh, by the way, need i say communing with nature is a good choice too?

Recently I've taken to riding around the village on my mountain bike when I feel down or cooped up inside the house. It's very relaxing to just let your body take care of the pedaling and let your mind fly away!

i go to the beach, sit there and reflect. or drink coffee while having a smoke or two on the roofdeck to while away time while catching the view. afterwards i feel replenished.
