Googled your issue and here's what I found out: Souce: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Virus_and_Spyware/Anti-Virus/Desktop_Anti-Virus/Q_25007321.html Run Flash Disinfector-Quote from this link:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t229158.htmlDownload and Run FlashDisinfector You may have a flash drive infection. These worms travel through your portable drives. If they have been connected to other machines, they may now be infected. * Please download Flash_Disinfector.exe by sUBs and save it to your desktop. * Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear. Note: Some security programs will flag Flash_Disinfector as being some sort of malware, you can safely ignore these warnings * The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well. * Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program. * Reboot your computer when done. Note: Flash_Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don't delete this folder. It will help protect your drives from future infection. After that scan the possible infected machine and that usb device with your anti-virus software and with Malwarebyteshttp://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php Quote Link to comment

riprxxx
my files got infected by a virus it changed my image files to an application .exe became the extension of my files.. i run malwarebytes but it did not detect the virus, also how can i change my file back to its original extension? the files you are seeing are only dummy files created by the virus.. dummy files keeps on replicating as long as the virus isnt removed.. the original files are hidden and added some file attributes so you wont be able to find it.. except if you know dos commands Quote Link to comment

royen
Sana po na resolve nang maayos ang inyong malware issues. Kaya lang if you did not change your computing habits, you will again suffer the pains of malware removal. If you want a more permanent solution, pwede nyo i try mag Linux. Me konting learning curve pero once na ma overcome mo to and you were able to migrate your work successfully, you'll have less worries about virus and spyware and your laptop will be more immune to attacks and threats from the Internet. Lalo na kung for home use lang ang computer, pwedeng pwede po any Linux distro na ma typan nyo. Linux Mint try nyo po. Para you have your cake and eat it too, i dual boot mo na lang ang laptop mo between your Windows OS and a Linux distro of your choice. This is what I did and very rarely do I use Windows now kung meron lang akong gustong i test how it will look or play under Windows. simplyeric
i strongly suggest full reformat para wala nang sakit ng ulot. well goodbye files pero yun talaga ang cost kapag hindi maganda ang internet and computer habits mo, lesson learned. after reformat, i suggest AVIRA free antivirus + threatfire firewall take note na yung threatfire meron features na custom rules. may set of rules na kapag ginawa ng isang program, inonotify ka. example, kapag nag try baguhin ang system 32 mo (although kapag nagiinstall ka normal ito). ang point ko, pwede mong baguhin itong rules na ito paraq monitored mo lahat ng behavior ng programs mo. kapag di mo kilala ang program, ikaw na mismo ang mg quarantine also, sa mga usb at mga cd's or new program, i sandbox mo muna. pag ininstall mo, may separate memory siya na kapag may virus, naka isolate siya from the main system. sandbox ay free to download din at easy to learn i have my computer for 3 years and no single virus so far has penetrated my pc. well isa rin kasi is to screen your internet activities... also, i have a folder na may nakapangalan na passwords tapos pag pinindot ng intruder, guguluhin ang sys 32 at mag force shutdown ang pc.hahaha... parang sex lang yan, wag pasok ng pasok, wag pindot ng pindot.baka magka STD hahaha! moreley
malwarebytes to remove if already infected. anyways, i use malwarebytes anti-exploit to block any malware...it monitors the browsers since that is the most common "hole" that can exploited. Quote Link to comment
