draxxm
It depends... per scenario basis... Both DSL and Cable Internet are shared bandwdith. Meaning if the line gets saturated (too many users at any time, connection type becomes immaterial.. both are sluggish. The difference between the two is that Cable is more capable of supporting longer distances compared to DSL. For the DSL, if you are too far from the telco, you have the poorest signal. omega2959
Kasi, yung plug-in modem mo ay gumagana. If that is the case, you have some options: 1. Medyo gagastos ka lang nga (and I think it's not worth it).

maniako
I still go for DSL connection, problema kasi sa cable internet, mas malayo ka node means mas mababa ang signal at mas lalong bumabagal Quote Link to comment

Ask mo yung Wi-Tribe if abot nila ang Camarin. Based on current market, mataas ang throughput nya kumpara sa DSL at cable.
Quote Link to comment
keyholder
I think lahat naman ng ISP, kesongputi. I'm using bayantel, uber lag. Ang DotA is still considered UDP kaya pag nagkaron ng loss kahit sa isang packet ng signal, DC na agad yan. Unlike pag youtube, TCP kaya kahit maDC, marerecover nya yung lost signal. polofalltrades
Correction, most real time applications use UDP. Streaming video included. Quote Link to comment
sample101
things to consider when choosing an ISP; if cable, the number of subscribers in your area and if dsl, the distance from your house to the local office in your area. What is best for one location may not be what is best for your location. Ask your neighbors how reliable there ISP is. Quote Link to comment
kenazansuz
Globe tattoo user po ako since 2010 and so far wala naman akong problema sa service... except kung wala talagang signal sa location kung saan ko kailangan yung connection. although kinailangan kong iupgrade yung modem ko from the USB plug-it to a more heavy duty version (huawei b200w.) so far maganda kuha ng signal nung modem ko kaya very consistent yung service. already tried using it on different locations and so far solid at mabilis yung connection. here are the tested locations:Del Monte Ave FriscoProject 6 & 8 Tandang SoraEastwood LibisAlabang Zapote Rd Las PiñasSan Francisco St., Mandaluyongout of experience lang, mas maganda talaga DSL dahil dedicated yung line at mas stable ang connection. pero it still all boils down kung ano yung service provider na available at best sa location current niyo. countermeasure
Simple rule of thumb, fellow GM. If you are a download freak go for Cable DSL, but if you are a gamer, go for DSL-Broadband, Quote Link to comment
slickprick
DSL is the way to go. Go with PLDT for no capping Quote Link to comment
