It depends on the company. Maybe this company A pays its network admin more than company B's programmers or company C pays its programmers more than company B's programmers but pays less for its network administrators.

let me add another choice....digital/multimedia arts...its an IT profession also...

 

A. Programmers (different kinds; software, database...)

B. Network Engineer

C. Digital/Multimedia Artist

like me, im a multimedia artist and a programmer sa isang microsoft partner company here sa makati, mas mataas ang salary ko kesya sa mga ibang programmers namin kc 2 ang role ko.

I know they pay a lot of money overseas for SAP Consultants and for Security Specialists .. but like eagleyes mentioned, the best job is the job where you love what your doing, whether your a programmer, system analyst, system integrator, net admin, dba, technical support or what have you.. sometimes monetary compensation is not the only consideration but it sure helps alot hehehe..

a) Business Intelligence oriented (developers, architects)

c) Java/.Net Developers

d) IT Security Specialists

IMO, working in a cal center as network admin, systems engr or any IT job gives you high pay. but of course, it depends on the company that ur working with.

i am one of the lucky ones doing SAP consultancy... i love my job, not because of money but because of new challenges everyday...

 

advantage:

1 days work is > 1 month salary in RP (as an asst mgr in a multi-natl company)

 

disadvantage:

almost 200Kphp a month in taxes

question: i'm interested in taking up CCNA courses. are there good paying jobs waiting for CCNA's out there, aside from call centers? i have nothing against call centers, i'm in one right now. just want to shift into another industry and get a normal day job..

your paying tax for about more than P200K as a SAP consultant lang? naks nmana gross mo maniniwala pa ako, pustahan tayo dude kung mapatunayan mo yan i'll pay you P500k tax free if not you also likewise pay me same amount hahah! seryouso ako on this proposal dude..
