MiG-29C
Nice write-ups you got here. To those who are experiencing problems with their graphics cards, hope you could specify what brand of GPU you are using and maybe some details too about your setup/rig. This would be a great help to those of us who are planning to upgrade our video cards. That way, we all could avoid the lemons. Thanks! I'm planning to get one. So which one would you recommend? BRANDS- Sapphire- Palit- Leadtek- PowerColor- Inno3D- MSI- ASUS- Foxconn CHIPSETATINvidia Quote Link to comment

MiG-29C
By the way, I'm looking for a good GPU because I'm gonna install Microsoft Flight Simulator X and run it with all the settings maxed out, with decent frame rates. Demanding kasi yung system requirements ng FSX. Instead of getting a GeForce 8000 Series, do you think a pair of GeForce 7300GTs (256MB 128-Bit) running on SLI mode would be enough for the job? The rig I'm building will have the following specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Socket 939Asus A8N-SLI SEKingston 1GB DDR2 RAM PC400Seagate 120GB HDD 7200RPM SATACreative 24-Bit X-Fi Platinum_________ >>>> Video Card ???? Here's a screenshot of FSX to give you an idea of FSX and Direct X 10's power:http://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/fsx022.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/avsim2.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/fsx002.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/fsx006.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/fsx030.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/FSX/fsx028.jpg Quote Link to comment
karim06
"When it come's to NVIDIA based GPU cards which manufacturer do you consider the best Palit or Inno3D. Hindi sa pagiging bias but I consider palit dahil sa fan/heatsink assembly. Dahil napansin ko madali masira GPU fan ng Inno3D. Which leads to overheating of the unit and unexpected errors. Yup mas ok pa Palit kaysa sa Inno3D lalo na sa HSF. Inno3D bagay lang yan kung hindi ka ganung heavy gamer na matotorture card mo. @ Mig-29C Instead of getting 2 7300GT and run it in SLI mode, I suggest getting a 7600GT instead . Mas malaki gagastusin mo kapag iSLI mo ang dalawang 7300GT kumapra sa isang 7600GT and hindi pa ganung problema sa power requirements. Unless lang kung habol mo ay multi view display ha. Yang 7600GT will be your gfx card that is something to hold you on. Kasi irerelease na po ang DX10 cards so buying a high end video card right now will be useless unless youre not planning to upgrade in the future. So I suggest getting one Geforce 7600GT and buy a Geforce 8 card later on para ma utilize mo na yung DX10 feature ng FSX. OT: FS Gamer ka ba? Mukhang parehas tayo ng hilig ah.. Yeah, I guess I'll go for the 7600GT instead. By the way, how come the AGP versions are more expensive than the PCI-E? What's so special about them aside from the different slot dimensions? Also, most people like ATI. What gives? Yeah, you're correct. Just like what my callsign and avatar sez, I'm into hardcore flight simulation stuff. The more realistic, the better. Kaya siguro di ako bumili nung Lock-On: Modern Air Combat because of the realism issue. I love Falcon 4.0 Allied Force better. Reading the 750-Page manual to learn about avionics, radar modes, fighter tactics and instrument approaches is well worth it. And on the Flight Simulator, nothing beats the satisfaction of bringing your Boeing 737 back in one piece after executing a perfect ILS Runway 06 Approach to RPLL in poor visibility and lousy weather. Hehe! Check Six! Quote Link to comment
