judgejury
I like here in the Philippines. Even if I am in Denver Colorado Quote Link to comment
chessboxin
Make no mistake, general rule is mahirap buhay sa Pilipinas. Unless you're a businessman or at least a very upper-management employee, you will always be better paid in the US/EU compared to the Philippines. Â Middle aged doctors and lawyers here on average earn about what, 60-70k/month? Never ka makakabili ng respectable bahay at lupa at that rate. Tapos sa US, they get an annual income of USD 140K on average. Quote Link to comment

sir_kits
Quote Link to comment
chessboxin
Besides the bigger paycheck, second advantage of living abroad is living away from your relatives. Iexpect mo nang sa iyo sila tatakbo for emergencies or even pang-tuition ng anak nila. It's a bit harsh and sad to hear but going abroad also allows you to leave your burdens behind and start a new life. Quote Link to comment
