Meanwhile, was told to just sit down and relax. ------------------- Initial ECG findings show the condition Tachycardia. Doctor says I need further work up. how old are you na ba bro..? do you have symptoms like headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, etc..? do you have a family history of cardiovascular diseases..? diabetes..? do you smoke..? do you exercise regularly..? do you love to eat fatty foods..? are you obese..? it could be that you were nervous or pagod ka when your BP was taken kaya mataas... to be diagnosed as hypertensive, you should register at least 140/90 mmHg and up on three different occasions, and you are relaxed kapag nagpa-BP ka... tachycardia sa ECG result mo means that you might be nervous or pagod ka kaya mabilis ang pulso mo... let`s wait and see what your cardiologist finds out after examining you... :mtc: Quote Link to comment

peterparker
140 lbs medium built bro. ok, suggestion ko is that magpa-complete blood count ka (CBC) to check yung hemoglobin and hematocrit mo, to find out if you are anemic or not.. if you are anemic, magpatingin ka na din sa doctor for proper evaluation... :mtc: Quote Link to comment

How to Check Blood Pressure With a Sphygmomanometer: Step 1Take your blood pressure either lying down or sitting in a relaxed position. If sitting, support the arm on a flat surface and flex it slightly at heart level. Step 2Use your index and middle finger to palpate the brachial artery, located at the bend of the elbow. Position the deflated cuff evenly around the upper arm, an inch above the bend of the elbow, having the middle of the bladder over the brachial pulse. Wrap and secure the cuff. It should be even and snug, but avoid applying it too tightly. Step 3Place the diaphragm of the stethoscope over the brachial artery and listen for the sound of the pulse. Tighten the screw on the inflation bulb and quickly pump the cuff bladder up by squeezing the bulb repeatedly. Pump the cuff up ten points above the point where you were last able to hear the brachial pulse with the stethoscope. Step 4Loosen the bulb screw slowly, watch the gauge closely, listen for a pulse and let the air escape from the cuff. Take note of the number on the gauge when you first begin to hear the sound of the brachial pulse again. This is the systolic pressure. Step 5Continue to listen as the cuff deflates until you're unable to hear a pulse. This is the diastolic pressure. Deflate the cuff completely and remove it form your arm. Step 6Record your blood pressure readings, the time and date, and from which arm you took the pressure. :mtc: Quote Link to comment

ElPatayo
migrated to canada already.. almost a year since my last post d2 sa BP thread.. my doctor here wanted me to cut my 25mg therabloc in two. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
