blow_gobi
New Wave ruled in the 80's... But the among songs I loved to hear were Mondo Cane's "Everlasting Love (in an ever changing world)" and "New York Afternoon" The Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian" not on most requested list? I also remembered Arcadia's "Election Day" during EDSA 1, and Power Station's "Some Like it Hot" a bit later. Both groups originated from Duran Duran Quote Link to comment

John Taylor had "I Do What I Do" which reached the Top 40 Andy Taylor had "Take It Easy" which went to the Top 20 Quote Link to comment

baby_gurl27
These Dreams- Heart Spare a little candleSave some light for mefigures up aheadMoving in the trees White skin, in linenPerfume on my wristAnd the full moon that hangs overthese dreams in the mist Darkness on the edgeShadows where I standI search for the timeOn a watch with no hands I want to see you clearlyCome closer than thisBut all I rememberAre the dreams in the mist {chorus}These dreams go on when I close my eyesEvery second of the night, I live another lifeThese dreams that sleep when it's cold outsideEvery moment I'm awake, the further I'm away Is it cloak 'n daggerCould it be Spring or FallI walk without a cut, Through a stained glass wall Weaker in my eyesightThe candle in my gripAnd words that have no volumeFalling from my lips These dreams go on when I close my eyesEvery second of the night, I live another lifeThese dreams that sleep when it's cold outsideEvery moment I'm awake, the further I'm away There's something out there, I can't resistI need to hide away from the painThere's something out there, I can't resist The sweetest song is silenceThat I've ever heardFunny how your feet in dreamsNever touch the earthIn a wood full of princesFreedom is a kissBut the prince hides his faceFrom dreams in the mist Quote Link to comment
hitman531ph
I remember our high school band performing this song on our graduation ball. These Dreams was a number 1 song by Heart from the self-titled album in 1985. Other hits in that album were: Never, What About Love, Nothin' At All and If Looks Could k*ll Quote Link to comment

hitman531ph
Alone is included on their next album Bad Animals. Regarding the list of most requested songs based on listeners requests, unfortunately, I don't have a local version of it. Edited March 9, 2007 by hitman531ph Quote Link to comment
vincechase
New Wave ruled in the 80's... But the among songs I loved to hear were Mondo Cane's "Everlasting Love (in an ever changing world)" and "New York Afternoon" These are not quite new wave but a re-emerging disco-like bands in the mid-eighties produced by Stock-Aitken-Waterman (producers of Rick Astley). These are great tunes, I remember dancing away in Euphoria (or Ew-phoria as the con(y)os would pronounce it) with songs like these. Damn, naala-ala ko tuloy yung model na di-na-date ko noon. Ayyyy sarap lapain. Quote Link to comment
