Dr_PepPeR
point taken, dr. pepper. i would agree that not all insurance agents have the necessary expertise; their primary objective would be to sell the product. in the case of zeep, it's possible that the agent just "mimicked" the script given to them on the 7-year projection. as you said, let the buyer beware then. Actually you already hit the nail on the head Ms. lustfortravel. It's just that I suddenly remembered all the insurance agents' spiel on the investment portion when I asked them about it. It wasn't always pretty but I let them finish anyway. Edited June 15, 2008 by Dr_PepPeR Quote Link to comment
Google
A majority of insurance agents don't know what they are talking about when discussing investments, especially projections. Investment officers rarely commit to a period over one year. This is not intended in any way to criticize insurance agents, but if the agent is not really a finance expert, its always caveat emptor, especially when long term forecasts are made. My own worthless opinion. based on my 15 years experience in the insurance industry, agents are only trained to sell the products. the ones who are making a miscalculation on projections are the actuaries. Can anyone give me insight on Maxicare, I-care, Medicard or any other recommendations. Thanks so much all of those companies are ok, but i would prefer I-Care. but take note. READ THE CONTRACT PROPERLY. Most of them have LIMITATIONS where they will not pay for certain illnesses. Quote Link to comment

Only tried three so I guess my experience is a bit limited. Quote Link to comment

Baraka
You can't go wrong with the variable-type insurance Pru Life has, and AXA also has very affordable plans. Both are reliable and flexible to your needs and budget. Quote Link to comment
