MRROUGHSEX
One word to characterize the prevailing market condition this year: Consolidation. The Dow has been flat as can be since the start of the year. It gained a quick 7% in January but offset all of those gains to be back to 0%. However, since we know the market is 7% discount, we just need to consolidate or continue increasing our holding by buying at discount. Gartman must have read my post above back in July 9. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-18/dow-30-000-you-don-t-have-to-be-crazy-to-believe-gartman-says Quote Link to comment

Check this: https://www.alfmmutualfunds.com/mutual_fund Nalaman ko siya when I was browsing BPI's website for investment opportunities. I clicked the mutual fund tab in their page and I was directed to ALFM's website. Quote Link to comment
MRROUGHSEX
Check this: https://www.alfmmutualfunds.com/mutual_fund Nalaman ko siya when I was browsing BPI's website for investment opportunities. I clicked the mutual fund tab in their page and I was directed to ALFM's website. I would skip it. No info on their prospectus of holdings. Quote Link to comment
MRROUGHSEX
The best way to know if a MF is great is through its holdings. Great MF are quite proud of their holdings and it's the first thing that would pop out from their info sheet and prospectus. The reverse is also true, bad MF hide their holdings. 1 Quote Link to comment
MRROUGHSEX
Bro check this out. I like Balanced Funds. Think of negative growth as DISCOUNTS, which means it is a good time to get in. You don't want to go in when the performances are high already because that meant it will correct and go down. You want down and go up. If you would go for Balanced Funds (meaning it has investments in various sizes of securities -- Large, Medium and Small) the top 3 are listed here. Just research their holdings. The key is to invest long-term. Long-term means it will surely grow and be profitable. That's a historical fact. Businesses are in the business of making profits in the long-term. https://www.pinoymoneytalk.com/mutual-fund-performance-jan-may-2018/ 1 Quote Link to comment
