Ng invest ako and until now, lugi ako kasi yung pero ko lang na nilagay ang nandun, walang dividends.Pag mutual funds, di lang naman isang investment vehicle ang pinaglalagyan ng fund manager ng pera niyo. Meron high, medium and low risk. Syempre the higher the risk, the higher the reward. So yung iyo, mukhang naka invest sa equities, which is mainly the stock market. Eh bagsak siya ngayon. So if you invested in mutual funds as recently as 1 year ago expect mo lugi ka talaga. And AFAIK mutual funds here are not paid by dividends but by interest. Quote Link to comment
MRROUGHSEX
My suggestion is not to pay much attention on dividends or interest as it is not the best way to grow your money. This advice is also applicable to stocks. Grow the money through price increase. For example, Fund A is growing 3% per year and on top, pays 1% dividend for a total of 4%. Meanwhile Fund B pays almost zero dividend but is growing 7%. 7% > 4%. Edited June 15, 2018 by MRROUGHSEX Quote Link to comment

MRROUGHSEX
One word to characterize the prevailing market condition this year: Consolidation. The Dow has been flat as can be since the start of the year. It gained a quick 7% in January but offset all of those gains to be back to 0%. However, since we know the market is 7% discount, we just need to consolidate or continue increasing our holding by buying at discount. Quote Link to comment
