jackl
shmilyso Kapag sole proprietorship business at personal TIN mo iisa. Malamang di pa computerized filing sa district nyo noong huminto ka ng business last 2001 kaya wala kang notice of non filing na natanggap. And if the business was not substantial most likely hindi na hahabulin ng BIR yan especially beyond the 3 year period of prescription. So you need not worry about lalo na after April 15, 2006 kasi by that time yung period to collect ng BIR expire na rin. Quote Link to comment
in_style
Don't generalize... Not everyone's a bad apple... :goatee: I won't put all the blame to the BIR.... I mean, our tax laws are flawed you know.... :hypocritesmiley:<{POST_SNAPBACK}> agree. not everyone is a bad apple.if we all continue to try doing good, maybe we'll still end up with something good. jackl
patanong nman po. i recall during my work around 1998 that we gave pictures for the BIR ID card. some got their ID cards about my batchmates. unfortunately, i didn't receive mine. where and how do i claim it? thanks.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> If your employer submitted all the necessary documents to BIR your ID should be available in the BIR Revenue District Office which has jurisdiction over your employer. Please check bir.gov.ph for the address. Be warned however that due to long lapse of time maaring na-archived na yung ID mo and will take time for them to locate it. I suggest you call the BIR office first before proceeding or better yet write a letter or maybe email addressed to the Revenue District Officer. They tend to give more serious attention to written queries since there's a law that they can be administratively charged for negligence should they fail to respond within 15 days from receipt of such query. hulseye
hi, i just would like to ask about vat and non vat invoicing. I have a sole proprietor business and I used to be classified as non vat because my products are fresh fish. Then we started processing those fish and my accountant told me to shift to vat classification but my invoice is still non vat because I haven't changed it yet. Now I want to sell another line of product which is vatable. Can I have 2 sets of invoice , one for the vatable product and one for the nonvatable product? What are the requirements needed to have both vat and non vat invoices? does this also mean I have to print different OR's also? What are the documents I need to bring to the BIR so that when I go there everything is already with me. I hope you could enlighten me on this. Thanks Quote Link to comment
jackl
hulseye, You can get the info you need at www.bir.gov.ph. Check the VAT registration form and have it print out. It contains the list of required documents and the procedure. And yes you can have two sets of invoice VAT and Non VAT. I don't think you need two sets of Official Receipts unless you will be offering services. Quote Link to comment

hulseye
one last thing sir , kasi even though I'm now categorized as vat tax payer, yung invoice ko na ginagamit ngayon e non vat pa rin and this would be my first time to request a vatable invoice. should I start on number 0 para sa vatable invoice o susundin ko yung series nung last number ng non vat invoice ko? It is the local government that asks for one because they need to make sure if you are covered by their jurisdiction and where they can locate you. The BIR on the other hand will just accept your business address when you register. Quote Link to comment
