Alabang_Boy
Kumusat ka, OS? A few questions po. 1. I need to get some crowns done, probably a bridge of four. It is my understanding that it doesn't matter how good the dentist , the technician who makes the crowns muat also be top class if the crowns are to last. Must a standard ceramic crown be made on a gold, base or is an alloy the normal choice ? Autoclaving. Do you autoclave your instruments and how essential do you see it,? With many salamats, Alabang_Boy Quote Link to comment
Oral Specialist
Alabang_Boy, Top class dental technicians definitely must be the order of the day. I certainly haven't had any major problems with the dental techs who service us, fortunately. While the metal coping can seem to be of higher quality if it was made of gold, it's actually the alloys that provide more durability and stability. As for autoclaving, it's one of the essential methods for sterilization. In our office we use another method called dry-heat sterilization. It is equally effective when applied properly. Hope this helps! Edited February 7, 2003 by oralspecialist Quote Link to comment

Oral Specialist
aian_27, I'm not an orthodontist but we do have an orthodontist in our office. She can look at your case and see if you need further adjustment. I can't give the free consultation or discounts for her tho. that usually applies to me. Quote Link to comment

dj_flip03
dj_flip03, Yes, the procedure costs 5k per tooth. The reason for this is that it is a more involved procedure than the usual extraction. Incisions have to be made, and bone has to be drilled into, as well as he tooth. Safety precautions and care considerations are also doubled. I believe it's worth the trouble to go through the operation rather than suffer through days of agony tho. And yes, I offer a 20% discount to MTC members. You can see more details in the Membership Benefits section. ARAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!! Ang sakit naman pala nun, Doc! Pero sige I'll think about it, nawala kasi yung sakit eh. Baka umayos na yung ipin ko. Thanks for the info Doc!! Quote Link to comment

I tried sending him to a dentist but he can not tolerate the opening his mouth too long... What would you recommend.... If you mean by not tolerating he gets tired easily, then the dentist can place a simple piece of rubber called a mouth prop to keep the mouth open. If he has difficulty with the taste or is uncomfortable, perhaps a children's sedative will prove effective. Quote Link to comment

Thanks doc for your immediate reply... a piece of rubber was also used but to no avail... i think a children's sedative was also the advice by the dentist(which she can't do)... do you perform this kind of treatment doc?
