milhouse83
dude, if you like to listen to talented musicians, try listening to any dream theater album. just not their last album "train of thought", even though it's good, try listening to "images and words" and the excellent concept album "metropolis pt. 2:scenes from a memory".<{POST_SNAPBACK}> dream theater rocks! all of the members are virtuosos in their respective instruments. the only thing difficult about listening to a dream theater song are the vocals. james labrie's singing is just too cheesy, awkward.. and just plain GAY! id recommend listening to liquid tension experiment , the band is still pretty much dream theater only without labrie's faygle like singing. Larry
"just heard the audioslave single the other day (be yourself)'" f*ck it's out? when's the album going to be released? "dream theater rocks! all of the members are virtuosos in their respective instruments." If you like prog fire up Kazaa or bittorrent and download "The Mars Volta", excellent excellent band, you won't regret it James labrie is an excellent singer though I don't like his voice, gotta give him props, and he's trained too. I think he studied at Julliard, so there all members of Dream Theatre are legitimate and educated musicians. Quote Link to comment

thirteen
You have to listen to William Shatner's latest album "Has Been".I know it sounds like a joke...but just give it a try! Produced by Ben Folds, you will genuinely be surprised at how good it is. Quote Link to comment

The main thing that stopped me from getting into Dream Theatre is their vox---his style is out of place, it's more appropriate for a band clad in leather with badly bleached hair and have groupies in tow wherever they go. interesting, so ATDI is officially dead? author
If you're into rock, try Pink Floyd. All of their albums will give you a mind-blowing listening experience. If you're into rock chicks, Tori Amos' music will surely please you. If you're into heavy metal, give the old classic albums of Metallica a spin and if you're into boy bands, forget it, I don't listen to this stuff. Quote Link to comment
