Hello :)

im not sure if this is asked already but is it okay to take a bath every evening? I just want to get out the excess dirt /oil accumulated during the day out of my body before going to bed. and since i'll be taking a bath twice a day, is it bad if i shampoo my hair twice a day? or do you recommend a conditioner instead in my 2nd bath?

thanks in advance for answering , really appreciate it :)

hello anglebyday! ^_^. Thanks for answering my pm.

I might as well post it here sa thread ulit.....

=========================

if you guys still remember nag post ako dito dati na the prev 2-3 doc from med city said may hyperV daw po ako....

so ito na ang karugtong...

hangang ngayon meron ako... at lumalala na. I asked the company doctor to check out my "physical" parts... pero wala talaga makita...

hirap na hirap na ako... lagi nalang ako napapagalitan sa trabaho coz lagi akong nasa clinic. I can't afford to be absent kasi bibigyan na ako nang memo....

about 3 days ago bigla akong nahilo. nahirapan huminga. kala ko hihimatayin ako (that would be a first time if ever). pero inisip ko nalang na was paapekto... hangang sa binitbit na talaga ako sa clinic

ang hirap nang situation na cluless ka sa mga dapat mong gawin. lalo akong nasestress kakaisip sa mga magpapagaling sakin... I can't ask for a sick leave kasi di naman daw sakit ito. Baka nga iniisip nila na nagiinarte lang ako.

ngayon, my left tumb is stiff and di ko sya magalaw. kahapon pa ito....

Do you think It's stress related? the company doctor keeps on asking me kung kaya ko pa magtrabaho sa company (DELL - BPO). right now I'm having problems narin sa pagtulog (sleep disorder). as I type this, Ive been awake for 32hrs....

Good speed and thanks again

Ano ulit yung hyperV?

Anyways, stress is always a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning check everything, test everything, pag walang nakita, yeah may be stress or psychiatric.

Medyo seryoso tong mga nararamdaman mo:

nahihilo

nahihirapan huminga,

mahihimatay

Puro subjective, pero yung stiff ang thumb ko, that tells me something is going on. Pakiattach picture ng thumb mo. I think it's time to do full work up.

Start with basic things. Pregnancy, othostatics, carotids. Then check heart meaning (echo, stress test, EKG), lung (x-ray, CT/CTA, PFT's, oximetry), pag wala then mga unusual things start to come in mind. Blood problems, rheumatologic, infectious, immunologic, pag wala pa din then yung mas serious na diagnosis na ayaw mong isipin, pag wala pa rin and after hundred thousand later......stress or anxiety.

Pag company doctor nyo walang sagot get another opinion!

Athlete's foot is very easy to treat, if not responsive in a week of treatment malamang hindi yan athletes foot.

totally agree with sir omegared. the usual rule of thumb for infections is if it doesn't get better after 5 days, then the treatment isn't working. so why isn't it working? you could have many considerations. maybe your infection has resistance to the meds, or maybe it isn't an infection at all. you should come in for consult, that way, you could be sure......

1.) it's ok to take a bath in the evening. *and for everyone's info, no, you dont get "pulmonya" or pneumonia from taking frequent or evening baths or even if you dance in the rain. ;)

2.) im not a hair specialist but frequent use of shampoos is not recommended, simply because it can lead to dry hair. Your last statement is the better option.

alright, thanks for the answer angel! :)

Sir may I ask option / alternatives on OTC to treat athletes foot. It kinda smells too much and sometimes its itchy.

Thanks a lot

May mga pills but too expensive and sometimes toxic, stick with cream and powder. Try changing footwear or treating footwear with lysol spray and use socks for a while. Good luck.

medyo magulo ba? ako nga din naguluhan sa post ko. kasi ang sabi nya sakin para daw tinutusok yung ilalim ng breast nya yung may parteng ilalim ng lungs. and kasabay nun e sobrang nanghihina sya to the point na pag gising nya d sya makatayo.

she try`s to consult a general physician sa dubai na indiano daw and ang ni reseta lang sa kanya is pain reliever at multivitamins na d naman gaanong nakatulong. para daw sa sakit ng ulo nya yun.

Is there Fungisol being sold here in Manila?

I went to Mercury Drug and Watson's in Market2x,

and they didn't have it.

I had to order from Cebu;

Is there some place/pharmacy here selling this medicine?

I'm using this for athlete's foot.

Thanks.

Shouldn't treatment be at least 2-3 weeks?

The goal in treating athletes foot is to make your foot moisture free as possible. Moist feet is a fertile ground for fungi to grow. Avoid closed shoes for the moment, if you cannot avoid weAring one, then at least apply foot powder. Desenex and fissan powder are popular powders fir the feet.

Dry your feet thoroughly before wearing shoes.

Antifungal creams are also helpful especially in cases where you have rashed and lesions already brought about by vigorous scratching. The common areas in the feet where this happens are the webs between your toes. Ketoconazole and miconazole are popular creams.

treatment is for two weeks, IF it really is athlete's foot, and IF it is still susceptible to the meds. thats what the 5 day period is for. if it seems to be getting better, then continue. if not, change the treatment regimen

greetings, GM-doctor-masters of MTC.

my question has to do with circumcision.

i went through another thread but its focus was the necessity of the procedure.

my query is a bit more technical.

LASER? That is a big JOKE. We don't use laser but cautery machine.

The pain that should be felt by the patient is the initial infiltration of local anesthesia. it must not be painful. if i forsee that i will have a diff time during the surgery, i do it in the OR under sedation.

recovery is about 5 days. but the "kamatis" is unavoidable unless the patient had a german cut which i don't do because i don't want to remove a very sensitive skin. although the german cut look is better.

removed skin will never go back again.

i prefer the dorsal slit. kahit may lambi. it adds to the bulk of the penis when erect!

i just had my son circumcised. he's 13 years old and the doctor who performed it

is a pathologist acquaintance of mine. it was only after the operation that he explained

the details.

he said he did a dorsal slit, which is what they did during their medical missions.

i did some research on Wikipedia and found that it made the shaft quite unsightly

even when erect due to the 'lambi.'

DORSAL SLIT

my question is: once my boy has healed, can i have the operation re-done

as a 'german cut?'

Galing po yan sa kabilang thread.

Stage 1 is Bp 140-159/90-99

Sabihin mo sa boss mo inumin yung gamot nya at pumasok na at nagkakalokohohan na. Kung meron syang nararamdaman hindi yun dahil sa high blood at dapat paospital na sya.

well you can have it re-done there is no problem with it. but you just have to observe first if it is really unsightly because if its not then you don't have to re-do it. as you know the skin also give sensation for the male so if you remove too much it may be a bad thing. another aspect i think the lambi would somehow give an additional sensation for his partner. anyway just my twocents

Bumili ka ng selsun blue shampoo. apply and leave for a couple hours, then rinse. Once a day. Keep doing for week and see how it goes. Di ko alam English nun. I think An-an "with slang". By the way pag nawala stay away from the sun to avoid post inflammatory discoloration, either darker or lighter. Good luck.

GOod day!

Mga doc, ask ko lang, ang isa bang bata na may primary complex pwede makahawa kahit under medication na?

Thanks

hello sir HardOn. no, a child under medication is not infective. in fact, a child cannot pass on the infection! a child gets primary complex when he gets in contact with an adult with PTB. once the child is infected, he cannot pass it on (there is too little bacteria in his phlegm, and most kids do not know how to dura properly). but, if he does not get treatment, he could get full PTB by as early as 13-14, with numerous complications.
