our location is in mandaluyong. her internist/diabetic doctor has a clinic in boni avenue/polymedic hospital. ER usually sa Unciano as we're like 3 blocks away from it. tnx

sorry for the late reply...was out of the country. have you tried the hospitals in the E Rodriguez area, like De Los Santos? they might be cheaper. or World City in Cubao?

Just wondering. Is there something wrong when you feel bloated almost everyday? :D i consume more than 8 glasses of water everyday. :upside:

dyspepsia can cause that. Either acid-related, or maybe the non-ulcer type(meaning, you undergo endoscopy and no visible gastric or duodenal ulcer is seen).

i dont see anything wrong with consuming more than 8 glasses of water. you excrete it thru urine and other bodily fluids, anyway, provided your kidney function is ok.

as long as you dont have "abnormal" abdominal enlargement and as long as your bowel movement is fine, then you'll be fine. If your symptoms persist, you can go see a gastroenterologist (Johardue is one) who might request for either Ultrasound of the abdomen or endoscopy (gastroscopy in particular. google mo na lang), or both. Depending on the severity of your symptoms.

who is a real doctor here? i need an opinion from an internal medicine or a derma maybe, but i don't wanna post my problems here...thanks!

i would suggest you rephrase your question more to the tune of asking for a derma or IM. i myself am GP/ER med and angel_by_day is a GP. otitismedia is an ENT, kanski in an Ophtha, and peterparker and blackwind are in Surgery, dr.evilMBA, when he graces the thread, is ER Med. but most of us would rather you post on this thread....

related but true...

believe it or not, my cholesterol level was 310 five years ago. by then, i was already experiencing so many bad symptoms like dizziness, shortness of breath, etc.... the company doctor said that i will be dead 5 years because of stroke or cardiac arrest. my weight back then was around 240 pounds and my waistline then was 41", my resting heart rate was 130 bpm. stress was a daily routine because of my line of work. and i smoke a pack of cigarettes. in short, i need to prepare my own coffin already. worst, i am only 27 years old.

last year, during my APE, my cholesterol level was 170, my weight is 180 pounds, my waistline is 34". stopped smoking and my resting heart rate is 82 bpm. my secret?

a) really sensible diet as what mr. zagato mentioned;

B) daily exercise regimen (combination of cardio and weights, 5x/week)

c) fiber.... as much as possible, take oats daily... nakakasuka, pero ayus....

d) a cup of green tea twice a day

Ive got minor case im also overwieght and im in my 50's now.I already stop smoking a few years ago for I know its killing me fast..Drinking habits?just drink occaionally maybe due to peer pressure but just occasionally and to the limits..my big problem now is I have difficulty in breathing especially at bedtime..It's really hard like the feeling of being choked.If there are Medical experts aroud reading this. Please Help me. just want to breath loosely and freely. please

In many cases of diarrhea, replacing lost fluid and salts is the only treatment needed. This is usually by mouth – oral rehydration therapy – or, in very severe cases, intravenously.

Diet restriction, to known well-tolerated foods, and the BRAT diet and its extensions, may be used for 1-to-3 days. However, limiting milk to children has no effect on the duration of diarrhea.

Medicines such loperamide (Imodium), bismuth subsalicylate (as found in Pepto Bismol and Kaopectate) may be beneficial, however they may be contraindicated in certain situations. Prescribed medications sometimes contain pain-killers, such as morphine or codeine, to counter the cramps that can accompany diarrhea.
