dragonei
is minus 2 lbs a great advantage for cotto? tanong lang. Well so so. On his last weigh in he (cotto) weighed at around 145, so he wont have a problem making that weight. Tama na itong catch weight na ito. If cotto comes down to 140-143 it wont be a legit win for pacquiao since masyadong tuyot kalaban nya, gaya nung nangyari kay de la hoya. And If 147 naman, masyadong malaki si Cotto naman para kay pacquiao. 2lbs of water in your body can really make the size difference. Its a question of how comfortable will both fighters be at that weight. Can manny retain the same speed and power at 145? I think so, we have seen him do this at 147 without having any problems. I think comfortable na si manny sa weight na ito. Yung last 2 fights nya sa 130, halatang di na siya comfortable. Hed weigh 150 to 155 on fight night itself, kaya he was not able to knock barrera and marquez out. But I promise you, if marquez fights pacquiao at 140-147, marquez would get himself whacked in less than 5 rounds Quote Link to comment
Julianda
What can you say about Manny Pacquiao nowadays? Some people want him into politics simply because he's a well known professional boxer [not to mention a big income earner (or a big dollar earner to be specific]. In addition, he's also an endorser of various well known products (local and imported ones), he's into acting, a recording artist so to speak. If you were to ask, san nyo ba gustong magconcetrate si Manny Pacquiao: SportsPoliticsEntertainmentAdvertising or MarketingHere's the latest news about him: Tap 'Pacman' to negotiate with Mindanao rebels, govt urged! dragonei
With all due respect to the topic starter, we already have a thread for Manny Pacquiao in the sports section, and the same issues raised here are being discussed there as well. If I may offer a humble opinion, since this is more or less a general thread discussing about manny pacquiao, I really think we already have one. Maliban na lang if this thread chooses to discuss strictly about manny pacquiao in politics Quote Link to comment
Julianda
^^Thanks. I truly appreciate your assertion. You somehow made sense on that, but then again, the reason why I posted this thread (along with its linked topic that somehow relates about politics) in this section, is not only to tackle about Manny Pacquiao on politics per se. As we all know that this section is also about current events in which it tackles also about the present-time news events concerning important people, things and ideas. Therefore, having this thread as Manny Pacquiao on its "hot seat" is NOT out of the question. Otherwise, let the moderators do their job by moving and merging this thread to other section.
