o0onapstero0o
He'll focus more on poilitics ata... ive heard him said that sa interview after the dream match eh. Quote Link to comment
kanto-terrorist
HATTON: I'll bring the money on the table. Look around you. You can see how many have turned out tonight. I sold out the City of Manchester Stadium in six hours, 55,000 people. Thousands follow me to Vegas. How many people does he bring from the Philippines? Not many... PACMAN: i bring a lot of politicians including leeches during my fight..i bring the vice-president, congressmen, governors, mayors, national security adviser, DILG secretary, DOH secretary, DEP-ED secretary, DOT secretary and a lot more of leeches on the table....beat that Hatton...... jerzz
Sheeeesh... what's the interest in this fight (if ever it happens again)? CONVINCING KOCK-OUT panalo ni Pretty Boy. Unlike the Pacquiao-Morales fight 1, or the Pacquiao-Marquez fight 1 ... sige na pati yung 2, merong debate/question. I don't think so. Recession pa rin sa US and Europe. Only the diehard fans would part with their hard-earned cash for this one.
elvaracco
sayang...it would be such a shame if the fight does not push through.... Quote Link to comment

Quote Link to comment

If you retire during your prime people will say you just pussied out. But if you fight till you can, eventually your body stops responding to the training, your reflexes diminish, you develop brain damage, until time that your skills wont matter and you get beaten by 5th rate fighters. Just take a look at what happened to ali na lang, sino ba nagparetire sa kanya? Si trevor berbick, a fighter who is not even half of what ali was. Take for instance also Two of the greatest heavyweights of our generation. Holyfield and Lennox. Holyfield is the only 4 time heavyweight world champion. He should have retired five years ago, pero dahil lubog na lubog sa utang, kelangan niyang magpabugbug sa mga kalaban na ni wala man lang sa kalahati nung achievements nya nung nasa prime siya. He was paid 35 million dollars for that second tyson fight, but now he took 600k dollars for that Valuev fight. The lowest he has ever received as a heavyweight fighter. Now he is being mocked by many boxing analyst, and there was even a campaign for athletic comissions to revoke his license. Si Lennox naman maaga nagretire. He was also heavily criticized for it, many believe he was dodging some contenders. But he is only the heavyweight who retired without an unavenged lost. Either way someone always has your ticket. Mayweather knows this, thats why he tried to quit while he was still ahead. He did not want the world to see him washed up especially that he has a bloated ego. Eitherway you leave boxing, you should be sure that you leave it with a legacy. So far manny solidified his leagacy by beating de la hoya. Quote Link to comment

Lennox does not want to give Vitali Klitschko a rematch, he won by controversial stoppage due to Vitali's cut, he was trailling on points on the 3 judges. It was a good decision to retire ahead and still rich. Joe Calzaghe & Floyd Mayweather Jr also retired undefeated. Manny should follow their legacy, retire on top Quote Link to comment
jjpaler
Roach, who is very close to Pacquiao, has been trying to reach the fighter in the Philippines since the impasse developed but has been unsuccessful. He, too, is frustrated. “We all know where most of the money will come from,” Roach said several days ago. “It’ll come from England, I think. The (Hatton-)Malignaggi fight didn’t do well but Malignaggi’s not a big draw. Hatton and Pacquiao are both big draws. I have no problem with 50-50.” If a deal isn’t reached, Roach said, the only logical opponent to pursue is the “retired” Floyd Mayweather Jr. “There’s no one else out there,” said Roach, referring to Mayweather. “(Miguel) Cotto is tied up for two fights. (Antonio) Margarito is tied up for two fights. (Juan Manuel) Marquez, too. Everyone is tied up. “It’d be a shame if (Hatton-Pacquiao) didn’t happen. We’d be missing out on a big fight. I like the Mayweather fight. But why not get both fights? wow!papa roach di na nasisiyahan.. eto pa sabi ni Schaefer.. Schaefer, clearly as frustrated as Hatton, blames Pacquiao’s advisors. “It’s the people around Pacquiao,” Schaefer said. “They’re not business people; they don’t know boxing. Bob Arum realizes the value Hatton brings to the table. These people, (his lawyer Franklin) Gacal, are just playing games. “… Ricky is like, ‘If it doesn’t happen, let’s just move on. Enough is enough.’ They’ve just been stalling and stalling and stalling. Arum told me last week in New York that we’ll get it signed the next day. Then it’s the next day. It’s always the day after. Naman kasi eh buksing lang dapat...sana wala munang bisnes..yon naman ang gusto nating lahat di ba. Manny babalatuhan mo ba kami? Atty.Gacal, bibigyan mo ba kami ng porsyento? Quote Link to comment
dragonei
Waaa! Somebody please do something!!!!!!!! sana matuloy itong laban na ito. Gacal huwag ka muna umepal pls pls pls. Baka mawalan ng matinong laban si Manny nyan Quote Link to comment

o0onapstero0o
^ pwede nman daw si Cris John on a short notice eh... hehehe If this match wont happen, pagsisisihan ni PacMan ito sa bandang huli. tsk tsk tsk Quote Link to comment
jerzz
.. malay mo si Money Vs. Manny?
dragonei
@dragonei, malabong mangyari yan.. malay mo si Money Vs. Manny? Well yeah sana nga.
GODzilla
I think the hatton and pacman fight will push through. eventually, when pacman and his people will not get what they want and later realized how much they will end up losing, e papayag na rin sa 50-50. This also happened in the DelaHoya fight where a compromise was reached almost identical to the offer by ODLH.
