smb131
The Pacman that showed up for the first Morales fight WAS the Pacman who fought Barrera. Fortunately for Manny, the Barrera who showed up to fight him wasn't the Barrera everyone knew to be "el whatever." The Barrera that showed up was the "I'm-stupid-I'm-going-to-underestimate-my-foe-today" Barrera. Do hope that the Manny that shows up on Jan. 22 is the "much-improved" Manny, not just the old Pacman Barrera fought. That just won't do. I can see you're a boxing fan bro. I hope you have copy of the Pac vs. MAB and Pac vs. EM. Watch them again.... maybe you'll see what i'm talking about. Quote Link to comment

punksnotdead
I'm rooting for Manny but I'm a bit worried with Morales' weight. If this guy makes the weight-in (130 lbs limit for their featherweight bout), this guy wll surely stock up on food and be bigger come fight time. Notice how stocky Morales was during his first fight with Manny, he seems too large to be a featherweight. More of a lightweight to me. But I just hope that Manny's fingerspeed + power can turn this fight around. Quote Link to comment

This usually gives them an advantage. But this Manny can take advantage of. Notice how Eric had trouble with Zahir Raheem's handspeed and footspeed. Manny should employ an in-out strategy, moving away from Morales' right hand, and doubling of his southpaw jab. But most importantly, Manny should focus on Eric's body. Most fight afficionados, local and foreign, noticed that EM does not like getting hit on the body. With a very sturdy chin, you will not KO him purely on head punches. But with a consistent body attack, Manny may be able to wear-down EM by the late rounds, and go all-out by the championship rounds. Quote Link to comment
