jerzz
Manny vs Cotto ?Cotto has been KOd by Margarito, which was KOd by Mosley. So the top 147 now is Mosley. Manny beating Cotto will not prove anything. Manny vs Mosley !Now this will be a fight. Let them meet on a catch weight of 143. Mosley is big and fast but old still at 37. Mannys right is powerful, and his left got even stronger. Anyone who could be caught by it like hatton had would definitely suffer the same fate, kahit heavyweights pa. So bring it on!! Manny vs PBFSince Roach plans for Manny to have 2 more fights before retiring, I think this fight should materialize first before the Mosley one. Cotto beat Mosley and lost to Margarito with a suspected illegal substance in his hand wraps. I think he is the top dog in welterweight. Manny & Mosley might not happen because Mosley does not want to go down in weight. He want it at 147 and Roach want it at 143. Manny vs PBF will be a boring fight because PBF will not fight, he will run and on the defensive end always. PBF does not want to fight Cotto & Mosley. uaeboy25
finaly boxing fans found their superstar. but definitely iether floyd jr(walang talo at dating p4p champion) or cotto(#7 sa p4p and wbo welterweight champion) or mosley (#3 p4p at wba welterweight champ). last option nya si jmm(#2 p4p wba and wbo lightweight champ) bakit last option si jmm. nde magiging interesting ang laban ng jmm vs pacman( still unfinished sore looser si jmm. wehehe) jmm tried to fight a less dangerous boxer like diaz(bata at inexperienced), and casamayor(aging boxer), then he choose to fight gayweather na quetionable ang condition, coming from retirement. kung talagang desidido syang umakyat ng timbang laban nya ung as top 10 p4p, kahit si hatton. well kahit na KO si hatton hindi nya lalabanan. kasi sa last 2 fights nya mukhang delikado sya kay hatton. ung ganitong system ang reason bakit sumikat si pacman. hindi sya umiiwas, sabi nga nya he can fight anyone. wala syang sinabi na hindi nya lalabanan si mosley, cotto or gayweather. pacman vs gayweather ang much anticipated match. once gayweather was caught by left fist ni pacman, i think it will not be a boring. pacman must watch gayweather vs hatton round 1. makikita nya ang defenseless gayweather. dragonei
What is the big deal with undefeated records? Just because someone has an undefeated record it does not necessarily mean he can claim to be the best in the sport. Its easy to have an unbeaten record if you refuse to fight people who have overwhelming advantage over you. Manny has fought a lot of opponents with overwhelming advantage over him (i.e. size, experience, natural weight). Now tell me did mayweather fight opponents with overwhelming advantage over him? Heck the guy would not even fight Cotto to protect his undefeated record. The audience is getting sick of fighters like this. Manny will fight anybody his promoter will choose as long as the price is right. Quote Link to comment

bubuy
para sa mga lawyers or finance consultants or whoever: taxable ba (sa pinas) yung mga kinikita ni pacman sa US? Edited May 9, 2009 by bubuy Quote Link to comment
dragonei
Well the problem kasi with boxing malaki nga kita mo pero malaki din syempre kaltas not just taxes but you have to pay sacntioning fees, training expenses and equipments, plus miscellaneous. Oh and of course ka freddie will take a cut of at least 2 million dollars pa. Then there are promoters, managers, and lawyers and accountant he has to pay. Then syempre andyan yung iyong personal entourage, kasama siyempre dyan sina Bubuy Fernandez, Chavit Singson, at iba pang nakikisabit lang kay pacquiao. Sagot nya pamasahe, board and lodging at yung iba me regular na sweldo din yan. These assholes will get to stay in the mandalay bay hotel, kahit wala naman talaga silang naiaambag sa training ni Manny. So kahit kumita ka ng 12 million dollars, lampas din halos sa kalahati ang makakaltas dyan. Of course pag dating pa ng pinas me kaltas pa yan. Now with what is left, kung masyado ka pang magastos at ninanakawan ka pa ng mga nagaasikaso ng finances mo, eventually di mo mapapansin mauubos at mauubos din pera mo. Look at Tyson, yung entourage nya ang umuubos ng kita nya, and this guy was earning 30 million per fight. I hope manny will live comfortably after he hangs those gloves. But in the end, its his money and his life. Kung mabutas man bulsa nya at maghirap siya parang daga in the end, masasabihan ba natin siya ng, ikaw kasi eh, tatanga tanga ka! yan tuloy nangyari sayo. agentjackbauer
Yes Bubs. In theory, every single cent dapat. Although there is a tax treaty between the US and RP. I'd have to look into that to know if there are exemptions or deductions. Nonetheless, the general rule is that a resident Filipino citizen is taxed in the Philippines whereever he may have earned his income. OFWs are the exception though. para sa mga lawyers or finance consultants or whoever: taxable ba (sa pinas) yung mga kinikita ni pacman sa US? grail80
para sa mga lawyers or finance consultants or whoever: taxable ba (sa pinas) yung mga kinikita ni pacman sa US? If he is classified as a professional (e.g. lawyer/doctor/artists) then whatever income made in the Philippines is taxable 10%. However, I think there's also a rule that states a corporation's export sales (meaning outside the Philippines) is non-taxable. I don't know if that will apply to Pac-Man. Even without taxes though, he still can help the economy by spending his hard-earned money here in the Philippines. This will circulate and will definitely help the local businesses. agentjackbauer
Professionals are not taxed a flat 10% rate. They are taxed based on the income they declare. Im a professional and I get taxed around 30% as far as I know. And Pac is not a corporation and no export sales are involved. Oooh so the tax bracket still applies to professionals? I thought it was different because they don't have permanent employment. Quote Link to comment

agentjackbauer
I believe the tax bracket still applies although Im not sure since I dont practice tax law. Pero Im a lawyer and hindi lang 10% ang tax ko. I justt doesnt make sense for lawyers who are individual practitioners to be taxed only a flat 10% rate while those in law firms or corporations are taxed at a higher rate based on their monthly income. Oooh so the tax bracket still applies to professionals? I thought it was different because they don't have permanent employment. Edited May 9, 2009 by agentjackbauer Quote Link to comment
