The hand signal from that HBO cameraman (or the guy with him?) was clear. Talagang pinapapunta si Pac sa corner para lumuhod. Para nga naman maganda ang kuha di ba. Ganun talaga ang trabaho ng mga taga-HBO. They are selling a product and they were just doing what they thought would make for good TV.

 

It doesnt mean though that Pac would not have gone into a corner and on his knees for a prayer if he werent told. Gawain na talaga ni Pac yun. Nagkatugma lang na yun din ang gustong ipagawa ng HBO crew. Eh sa kaguluhan ng knockout at sa dami ng biglang umakyat sa ring, ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ni Pac kundi sumunod na rin sa turo ng HBO crew.

 

 

 

hehehe, actually pinagagawa rin namin yan when it comes to coverages or events. Its one promotional thing. Kung minsan kasi may nangyayaring iba sa isang sulok ng event tapos may magandang kuha rin sa kabilang sulok. Ang hirap kapag sabay sabay ang mga "scoop" shots. That why, there are times na dinederek namin like say, a couple, an athlete, on what he would do. After all those bruhahas, kapag nakita ng person involved, nagugustuhan niya at lumalabas na maganda ang kanilang ginagawa (some, of course, for the camera). For keepsake yun.

 

Pero ako , I did not see the hand directing or any voice saying na lumuhod siya.

Ewan ko ba kung bakit gustong gusto ni Pacman na pumasok sa politics. Ako'y helong helo sa kanyang ganitong decision. Well, its his decision but he should thing a hundred folds para naman sa ikakatahimik ng kanyang pamilya. Pero one thing na nasa isip ko, kapag marami ka kasing pera, baka naman politics is the area para maka evade ka sa tax harassments ng BIR kasi may immunity. just wishful thinking. Di mo kasi alam kapag wala ka na sa limelight, sa ugali ng kung sinong susunod na gobyerno. You have to have shield din kasi like what Villar is doing. Mayaman na, nag pulitiko pa para di siya presyurin ng mga banks na may malaki din ang loans siya.

 

ang daming katwiran kung bakit natatalo ni Pacman mga kalaban niya..kesyo matanda na si delahoya, kesyo wala na sa prime si morales, kesyo kung anu-ano..

pero seryoso, nakakaawa pagmumukha ni hatton when someone rotated his head towards the camera as he was sprawled on the floor..parang pinaglupitan ng panahon, hehehe..

I did see the hand signal as I have pointed out after the fight. Actually I was the first one to point it out at least in this thread. I have nothing against Pacman, it was just a promotional gimmick by HBO. And I am almost sure Manny would have done the same thing (kneeling thing) even if not prompted because he's been doing that after each victory.

 

I thought it was shown only by the English broadcast, but when I watched the HBO broadcast, it was also shown - after Buboy carried Pacman, an HBO cameraman in a black t-shirt directed Manny to kneel. If you have the 549MB file, it is somewhere around the 32 minute mark.

Sana next fight ni pacman si gayweather na, ang yabang ng mag amang yan eh. handicap match dapat, 2 on 1. Gayweather Sr at Jr, vs Pacman.

Re Hand Signal. I saw it too. I think we are all aware that Pacman does the kneeling and prayer after every fight. I think he forgot about doing it dahil na-carried away siya, and the HBO guy was reminding him about it.

 

Re: Pacman and Politics. Tama ka, tagalinis. Pacman should realize that he can exploit his popularity to do good things without getting into politics. Take Bono, for instance. I bet he can become the president of Ireland, but he chooses not to, yet he is so influential in all his causes/humanitarian work, that he has made a huge difference worldwide to the point that he's been considered for the Noble peace prize and been named Time Person of the Year.

 

I wonder how we, the fans of Manny, can convince him not to run for politics? Wala bang website na pwedeng sulatan si Manny para wag na tumakbo?

I honestly thought Manny would lose to DLH. But I would never bet on DLH. And I still rooted for Manny. Same with our hapless basketball teams. Win or lose, I root for them. I even, foolishly maybe, bet on them (with a point spread, of course).

 

Pero ok lang. Konting pang-aasar lang naman. Nothing serious.

Dapat kasi, bigyan na lang ng congress o ni la gloria ng official position si Manny (instead of the non-functional title of ambassador of sports). Pwede naman siya siguro sa GAB or PSC (1 peso salary). I believe that Manny honestly just wants to help. Pero alam naman natin ang Philippine politics. Kakainin ng buhay ang good intentioned naive person like Manny.
