robbietan
Pavlik, a 26 year old middleweight champ, got schooled by Bernard Hopkins, a 40-something legend. Pavlik moved up in weight from 160 to 170 and was totally outclassed (even looked like he was getting KTFO). As a result, he got his first career loss. Manny Pacquiao, 29 year old lightweight champ, meets Oscar, an aging legend. Manny moving up 12 lbs. Same ending as Pavlik-Hopkins? Highly probable. PavlikTotal fights 35 Wins 34 Wins by KO 30 Losses 1 Draws 0 No contests 0 HopkinsTotal fights 56 Wins 49 Wins by KO 32 Losses 5 Draws 1 No contests 1 PacmanTotal fights 52 Wins 47 Wins by KO 35 Losses 3 Draws 2 No contests 0 ODLHTotal fights 44 Wins 39 Wins by KO 30 Losses 5 Draws 0 No contests 0 maybe its becuz pavlik is not seasoned enough. here, pacman has more fights than ODLH and pavlik. this aint no "schoolboy" by any stretch of the imagination Edited October 20, 2008 by robbietan Quote Link to comment

Chiq
Naku excited nako for this fight! I will pray to high heavens that Pacman will end up being the winner but looking at how fierce and seasoned ODH is, I dont think Pacman would stand a chance. But nevertheless, laban lang ng laban Pacman! Hehe :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

luigi
i seriously doubt if he can win but just imagine if he will... next on the list will be hatton. that will be one hell of a fight and a more even one than agains Oscar andwho knows after that perhaps manny can coax the former pound for pound boxer out of retirement. Larry
Same ending as Pavlik-Hopkins? Highly probable. ODLH is no B-Hop B-Hop at one point was considered the best PFP fighter in the world. OLDH...he's good but not best PFP, not even best in his weight class. Quote Link to comment
azayco
Wiki says: De La Hoya became Ring Magazine's "Fighter of the Year" in 1995 and Ring Magazine's top-rated Pound for Pound fighter in the world in 1997. De La Hoya has defeated seventeen world champions and has won ten world titles in six different weight classes. Of course, this was true ages ago. Currently, B-Hop is still in the Ring P4P Top 10, while DLH has been out for some time already. Quote Link to comment
