Heard from a friend that operates a couple of shawarma kiosks in the metro that

they use the cheaper carabao meat instead of real beef, they marinate it so well that it would pass

as real beef.

He said that it is a common practice among shawarma peddlers.

no wonder some stalls can sell their shawarma so cheap...

May naka-usap ako dati na meat supplier. Sabi niya karamihan ng nag bebenta ng Shawarma kung hindi double dead ang binibili e Carabao meat daw kaya hindi na ako kumakain niyan.
