However, if you want to maximize what you have, the best thing to do is to practice good posture, as well as to maintain a physique with the right proportions. You'll be surprised how projection can do wonders for how people see you. Your choice of clothing and the way you wear them can affect the perception of your height, as well. A person who feels tall can actually appear tall to others. Think BIG, look BIG. It's all about confidence and how you carry yourself. Quote Link to comment

murusame Posted November 5, 2004 Share Posted November 5, 2004 What most people are saying about genetics are true. After puberty the chances of somone growing taller is very slim. I would recomend people who would like to look a little talller to correct theit body posture (stand straight at huwag kukubakuba) Also wear Taller shoes. Hindi yung elevator shoes but you know what I mean. Adding a couple of inches through this method always helps lalu na kung mas mataas sa yo and GF mo. Quote Link to comment
moneyball Posted November 7, 2004 Share Posted November 7, 2004 may cherryfer e (hindi ako sure sa spelling e). para siyang tablet na yung epekto raw ay tatangkad ka. hindi ko lang alam kung saan nahahagilap yun. kung hindi ka talaga makakakita nun, bili ka na lang ng jump soles. bibilis takbo mo, tataas talon mo (by as much as 3 inches pa nga raw) at siyempre, dadagdagan din ng jump soles ang height mo. masterblaster Posted November 15, 2004 Share Posted November 15, 2004 I agree height is bounded by genetics. However, it is also bounded by nutrition and sustenance. Filipinos being generally short in this day and age doesn't mean that we will be short forever. There is marked increase in average heights through the decades and this is attributed to the changes in the type of foods that people eat. An increase in protein and calcium intake in the early growing years will maximize the bodies response to develop fully. Traditional Filipino diet is generally high in carbohydrates with less emphasis on protein and calcium. This could explain why Filipinos are generally short. For people thinking of gaining height passed 25, sadly that is not going to happen since bones are already 'fused' at that age. Quote Link to comment
