Yesterday I passed by the Central Bank area, feels different without the Harrison Plaza complex.

An ancient round relic was in front of the manila immigrition , but last week i saw it was demolished

There was this old restuarant in Magallnes called Minggoy's. It served classic Spanish food. I looooved their sopa de ajo. They had a branch in Alabang, too. I think they're still around, but I haven't had the chance to check.

Not too long ago, but I miss when BGC was still all green fields and trees. I prefer that over the concrete jungle it is today

Mingoy's (one G) is still around. Yes, their sopa de ajo was great. During the mid-2000s, they were at The Fort Strip, BGC but closed down after a few years.

They re-opened in 2021 under the name Mingoy's Paellas as a delivery & pick-up business with a simplified menu (no sopa de ajo) . Last month, they opened their first food outlet inside the food hall (Commune Hall) of Vista Mall, Santa Rosa, Laguna.

You can also check out Amalia's Fine Spanish Cuisine in BF Paranaque. Amalia is the wife of the late Mingoy Jocson. Amalia's is now run by one of the Jocson children.
