Wyld Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 this is middle eastern pastry, very crunchy crust with honey walnut filling. I still can't find it here. But i learned how to cook it. Try to browse the internet to see how it looks.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>  its a baklava... and it IS really good when made right. rich and buttery ... and great with turkish coffee. I also pig out on bacolod's napoleones coz parang cream puff sya. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   oh yes, i miss the napoleones of bacolod. here i have the strawberry napoleons at a bake shop called le madeleine... its not bad... i also love the pastries (almost all that i tried) in portos, a colombian bakeshoppe in glendale, california... in manila, its gotta be the choco dome cake in global cafe, the choco souffle in max brenner, all the cakes especially the honey cake in that house in san lorenzo, red ribbons chocolate cake, eclairs at cookie monster and the ensaimada, mamon, yema, caramel cake and mocha cake at hizon's bake shop in ermita... Wyld Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005  hazelnut (nutella) crepes w/ vanilla ice cream in cafe breton the dome cake of global cafe hizon's caramel cake, cherry pie and brazo de mercedes; also their toasted ensaimada, their yema, their creme roll (heck almost anything sweet i hizon's is good) the silvanas in red ribbon, betty's sansrival becky's kitchen cherry walnut aristocrat's chocolate cake and torta delos reyes mango torte and honey cake from that house in san lorenzo halo halo in san fernando somewhere dirty ice cream from the cariton lava cake in chilis the sundae in jollibee this fried bread dipped in condensed milk in north park geez. the list seems endless.
