  1. dang just got home. Agree with you Larry on both on GSP v Serra (what a surprise) and Sanchez v Kos (thank goodness Diego got his mouth shut). Will watch the replay tonight for sure.

Welterweight sure is shaken up huh?

  2. great thread, glad to have found it. No one talking about GSP-Serra? Must be a foregone conclusion.

Nog to UFC is really something if it goes through. Can't imagine who would challenge him in the UFC right now.

  3. morning all, glad to see a few people here spreading the word out to others about UITF's. :)

To interested/potential investors passing by, I certainly hope you all consider UITF's as an alternative to your demand deposit and term deposit accounts. There are many offerings that cater to your risk profile, investment amount and horizon. If the reason you are holding on to a time deposit is protecting your money, do note that even conservative fund offerings offer better returns for minimal risk. Visit a bank near you and try it out :)

Nice one bro! I had a few chances lately to play around with my friend's D50 and fell in love with it. Nabuhay lahat ng childhood dreams ko of taking great pictures... Thinking of getting a Canon 400D or the Nikon D40x when I get the money. Starting pa lang naman :)

  5. Always look at the fundamentals of the companies involved. Don't go by pure heresay. Stock prices go up and down all the time. Do your own research. If you don't have the time to do so, leave the research work to the experts and invest in an equity UITF which has a reputable fund manager. They have the experience and the knowledge and their goal is to outperform the market.

Good point lene. Hearsay is dangerous, unless it comes from a very very reliable source. Fundamentals never go away; they provide steady support to a stock's price. An important part of research I believe is finding a stock that fits your plan and goals. Fundamentals and track record are excellent for executing buy-and-hold strategies. If you're into quick money (9-10% swings in 1-2 weeks) technical analysis and scanning for reversals (points when price trends change from down-up and vice versa) helps a lot especially for actively traded stocks.

Lastly, good point on UITF's for those with less appetite for risk and time to research. Try different banks, since many have different minimum investment amounts and different fund offerings. Trust me (no pun intended) even the most conservative fund is better for your money than regular TD placements or blowing it on bad stock market picks.
