1. The Dean's List:

In 1981, the PBA introduced a Best Import award for every conference. So far, the only multiple awardees have been Bobby Parks (7), Norman Black (2), Billy Ray Bates (2), Ken Redfield (2) and Derrick Brown (2).

Some NBA veterans opted to end their careers in the PBA like Kevin Porter who played for Toyota in 1983 and Wood, now an NBA referee, who suited up for Purefoods in 1994. Imports who used the PBA as their training grounds for the NBA included Kevin Gamble, Eldridge Recasner, Chris King, Henry James, Vince Askew, Rick Brunson, Sam Mack, Frahm and Earl Barron.

Here’s my list of the PBA’s 20 greatest imports – Bates, Tony Harris, Sean Chambers, Parks, Byron (Snake) Jones, Black, Michael Hackett, Bruce (Sky) King, Larry McNeill, Thirdkill, Ken Redfield, McDonald, John Best, Cyrus Mann, Ronnie Grandison, Michael Young, Lamont Strothers, Rosell Ellis, Brown and Diamon Simpson.

  2. 'Yung kasing klase ng laro ni Cyrus mahirap bantayan as he can shooot, penetrate and create at malaki sana ang maitutulong n'ya sa SG kaso nga lang 'di man lang s'ya nasama sa list ni Toroman who opted for Sol Mercado

I agree to this observation...IMHO Skyrus is more versatile than Sol

Maybe, Coach Toroman has some other ideas...

  3. I remember feeling sooo adult pag nag pupunta sa Jazz Rhythms... Meron din nito sa Jupiter diba?

Another one -- East St. Louis in Makati ave. Cool place <img src='http://manilatonight.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/specool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

    :P

Ano to, trip down memory lane ng mga bars?

I also used to frequent this place (Jazz Rhythms), our fave then were smooth jazz (Earl Klugh, Lee Ritenour, Joe Sample, Bob James, and the like). Kapag may chick na gusto kong ma-impress, I'll date her duon and we can also chat. Wala pang cellphone then, and the courtship was different. Some years later, a group of friends (80s contemporaries) tried to somewhat replicate this JR bar thing but was not successful. Nagsara narin itong 'Ten Years After' bar.

    Hay! Those were the days...

  4. Muscle Pull Treatment

The universally held treatment for a muscle pull or tear is to apply ice and rest until the pain and swelling subside. The ice relaxes the muscle and helps relieve any spasm. Ice should be applied for about 20 minutes on, then 20 minutes off, as much as possible for a few days. The dull ache of a muscle pull usually disappears within a few days.

As soon as tolerable, begin gently stretching the muscle. A pulled muscle may go into spasm as a reaction to being overstretched. If the muscle fibers are not gradually re-lengthened, the muscle will pull again with return to activity because it will have healed in a shortened state. In general, you can return to action when the injured body part can be stretched without pain as far as the healthy one on the other side of the body. That may take a week for a calf muscle or more than a month for a hamstring pull.

  5. ayos yung young core ng usa biro mo nanalo sila i never expect them dis far....

Nahihirapan na nga si Coach K na timplahin ang US team composition for the Olympics...

Will the players come most from Team B (Durant n Co.)reinforced by some from Team A (Kobe n Co.), or the other way around?

  6. Facebook had always been a place where you could control what information you wanted to share and with whom. Naturally, young people have a great interest in limiting access to photos of them partying drunkenly, as such pictures are not generally considered to be résumé-enhancers. But you might also not necessarily want the world to know about your political views, your favourite books or what you're looking for in a sexual partner.

The trouble, as Singel explains in his Wired.com article, is that Facebook recently changed everyone's privacy settings so that, by default, nothing is private – and has made it damn near impossible for anyone without a computer-science degree to make their information private again. Take a look at this chart if you want to get an idea of how difficult it is. What's more, in many cases you can't make your information private at all. You have two choices: make it public or get rid of it. (Or delete your account and quit Facebook. And even then ...)

  7. SERIAL FLIRT

Men love women who flirt. Men are drawn to a good flirt because besides being fun and charming, she’s definitely not shy. The flirter shows interest right off the bat, making the “getting to know you” aspect of courtship all the more easy. For a guy, not having to do all the work is a relief.

But there’s a difference between a situational flirt and a serial flirt, and the latter is something that men just don’t want to deal with. A serial flirt giggles, touches, and tosses her hair at everyone: the best friend, the boss, the father. A woman who bats her lashes indiscriminately seems like a challenge at first—How do I get her to just pay attention to me?—but that game gets old really fast.

After a while guys realize that the Flirty-Bird needs constant attention because she’s stricken with major self-esteem issues. An extremely confident and patient man may be able to deal with this kind of behavior, but he’ll probably run himself ragged before realizing that the Flirty-Bird isn’t worth his time.
