  1. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love. They try to possess it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand. Love will retrieve from you. For love is meant to be free, you cannot change it's nature. If you love someone, allow him/her to be free. GIVE and don't EXPECT.... ADVISE, but  don't ORDER....ASK, but never DEMAND. It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a LIFETIME to truly practice..........

    this is nice advice... :thumbsupsmiley:

  2. The scale is definitely not a good judge, the mirror, the way your clothes fit, and the tape measure are far better judges.

i agree! there was a time when i had a medical test for our company and they said i was 6 pounds overweight. at that time i worked out 3-5 times a week and had around 12% body fat. so i argued and said that the extra poundage was due to muscle since i didn't even had a belly at that time and had a waist of 28 inches

  3. the only reason why royce  won those early ufc days  ic because fighters then  are  just brawlers mma has improved tremendously did you see how sak toyed royce, but then  most of matts lost are from submission  so royce still got a chance. i wanna see GSP beat MAtt though

UFC fixed it in a way that all royce's competitors were not fulltime martial artists. they were either just teaching or just training once and awhile. royce was a full pledged martial artist who was training and teaching religiously at the same time. plus, most of the competition were out of shape and didn't have good conditioning. UFC back then was promoting grappling. if you notice the stress of the competition was grapplers vs. strikers. strikers didn't stand a chance back then because most were either mediocre fighters who were long time inactive in the fight world or were too caught up with traditional non-combative methods.

on the topic about royce vs. matt hughes, i'll go for matt since he's proven to be an all around fighter. i sure want to see him beat the hell out of royce!

  4. Is Anyone A Die Hard Tekken Fanatic Here? Hardcore Na Nakikipag Pustahan Sa Malls

  5. how come nobody mentioned caloocan?  do you guys know that the future philippines' "Grand Central" train station will be the Monumento TerminaL?

this will be the hub which will connect the MRT with the LRT, the hub which will connect bulacan/pampanga/zambales train station, and also the hub which will connect the rest with cavite..

    read today's issue of inquirer..

so who says makati is the center.. for business maybe.. but for transportation, Caloocan is the center..

lots of squatters in caloocan. houses are wall to wall. no breathing room. it's too polluted. :thumbsdownsmiley:

  6. i noticed in manila that most guys just wear a shirt or polos and a pair of comfortable jeans be it a casual or semi-formal date. maybe it's because of the weather that's why dressing up is very limited...

  7. from my experience, saying "i love you" is just like giving away peanuts. some friends of mine (guys and girls alike) usually say it just after a night or two of dating just to get a quick lay. there's no sense in saying this anymore. even fubus say this to their partners after a raunchy, hot and steamy sex session. you wouldn't know if they genuinely mean it or not. some girls say it for financial purposes fearing that the guy wouldn't take them out anymore for a cruise in their bmw to watch a movie and treat them for popcorn or a fine dining restaurant.

for some, saying "i'm sorry" is also like second nature. it's becoming like an expression like "oh s@%t", "ouch", or "excuse me". i experience this first hand in metro manila malls especially in SM. 3 barkadas walking in a horizontal line without even flinching that they might bump someone. when they bump you, they say sorry without even shifting their pace or adjusting their path. it's like doing it on purpose and just apologizing to difuse the other person's anger.

    just an observation...

  8. nothing beats a diploma from the big three: UP, Ateneo and La Salle......why is our society so conscious about social status? even where you graduate is an obvious advantage......we'll it is so because we have allowed it........you, me, the personnel managers, corporate heads, and so on......we have constructed a culture of status rather than achievement......

you can't deny the fact that these three schools produce more quality students than any other schools in the country. but in the end, it still boils down to the individual. be it la salle, up, or ateneo, education still starts at home.
