  1. Wow, akala ko madami na yung 900+ dvds ko. Mapili na ako e. Back in 2003, I'd buy mga 15 a week. Now, mga 4 or 5 every two weeks na lang. I'm looking forward to buying Knocked Up this week.

  2. Sayang talaga Cryme Time. Buti na lang Shad Gaspard isn't burning his bridges. Apparently, nagka-heat talaga between Cryme Tyme and the Rednecks which ended up with them working stiff in the house show.

Shad has a myspace blog and he was repentant and understood the reasons they were let go. At least he has the right attitude and it won't be long until we see them in the WWE again.

  3. I would recommend Banawe for those looking for great food selection.

    1. Muang Thai - Although there are other branches (Baguio, Sulo Hotel), this hole-in-the wall serves the best Thai food around. It has a home-cooked feel to it and their Tomyang soup is to die for.

    2. Tazza - located in one of the sidestreets perpendicular to Banawe. It's a nice little coffee shop where one can dine while having their car washed. Their food is excellent and I recommend their selection of cakes.

    3. Han Pao - Chinese food at its greasiest and finest. Best Halo-halo congee in town - I recommend it with bicho-bicho. Unbelievably better than North Park and not as expensive.

    4. Steak and Sisig express - 120 for a t-bone steak. Nuff said.

  4. Persoanlly, Garlic & Cheese thin crust from shakey's is a classic. Masarap din ang yellow cab Anchovy Special at yung 4 cheese pizza ng Brooklyn Pizza.

I thought I found a jackpot with Monster's Bite. I saw a delivery guy coming in sa building with a 20 inch pizza na cheaper pa sa Yellow Cab. My mistake. Kinda masarap siya pero glorified 3M pizza lang siya. Sosyal lang ang toppings.

Oh yeah, yung magoo's na may black olives, masarap din.

  5. I for one am one of those that got burned out by advertising. I'm not trying to scare anyone who wants to get into the industry. In fact, I want to give hope and fan the flames.

I graduated with a degree in literature. No advertising units. No advertising background. But I also felt that I belonged in advertising. I tried everywhere then finally managed to break in with a small agency...as an accounts person, even if I wanted to be in creatives. Earned my stripes there. Learned the tricks of the trade. Then transferred to Lintas (now Lowe Worldwide). After some time in accounts there, someone saw some potential in me and made me a creative. After a few years, I got burned out.

So I left advertising. Went out and tried freelancing and even managed a stint as a Dj for a top FM station.

Then I realized I missed advertising. Now I'm back. And I'm currently at work...have been in the office for the past 30 hours.

Still want to be in advertising? :thumbsupsmiley:
