      Uhh, how about a local Philippine epic which I totally forgot the name of.

       

      Was it bakunawan or something? I really can't tell.

       

      Anyway, it involved a young man and his dog and also his rooster... And it had in a part of the story, a rope which he gave to a certain king or village leader as fulfillment of a final task for something cool like the eldest daughter's hand in marriage. Something like that.

       

      Or maybe some unpopular local legends. Something we h...

      Bakunawa was the name of the fish monster that causes the solar eclipse. I was thinking of a plot arc with that.

       

      The young man with the dog and rooster was Lam-ang.
