    Reggae Pips!

I've always wanted to start a Bob Marley Thread here...and it so happens, this is the first topic that i started I've met only a handful of people from MTC who's into his music, including Deboinare and Dobermax (but he's more into glam rock, i guess..hehe-- peace, dobes)... We decided to start this thread to discuss Bob Marley and his songs as well as get to know and share insights with other people who are into his music as well.... have you ever experienced seein through the lines of his songs, beyond his lyrics? revolution, redemption, exodus of oneself from himself and the world around him? have you experienced, in your youth, when you would share a few sticks of rolled hemp with your friends while listenin? are you indignant with the way other people percieve people who listenin to reggae as potheads? was there a time in your life when you felt the vibrations of Bob Marley's music that "make you wanna move your dancing feet..."(sun is shining) ? ... if most of your answers to the questions above are "yes", then this is the thread for you... if "no"--- wel, just hang out in this thread anyway! let me start with this: "we remember the evocative music Bob Marley gave the world; music that stretched back over nearly two decades and yet still remains timeless and universal. Bob Marley & the Wailers worked their way into the very fabric of our lives. The superlatives, perhaps, come easy when speaking of Bob Marley & the Wailers and their music. Marley himself had been called "the first Third World superstar", "Rasta Prophet", visionary, revolutionary artist. They were not, however, mere hyperbole. He was one of the most charismatic and challenging performers of our time..."
