If you come across a 10 digit code while playing mafia wars, SAVE IT!!! It is your PIN number and is unique to your account. This will help identify who you are incase your account is hacked or stolen. So please heed this warning: when the game gives you a 10 digit code, save that number and NEVER share it with ANYONE!

 

This also might help people who lose their FB accounts, but then might be able to transfer their MW account to a new FB identity with that PIN.

1. A new Lotto collection is on its way. Humph! I had to buy the first one.

 

2. Las Vegas will arrive this summer (mid-May 2010). YAY!! Cannot wait!

 

3. The Safe House will be replaced with customized characters that can be voted on for the Prestige award/achievement. This would be awesome and easier than the current "respect gifts" that take my computer way too long to process!

 

4. New Top Mafia Positions and related achievements for 25, 50 and 200 promotions in the same category. The 200 will give you 10% no energy or 50% energy or 200% money chance per job.

 

(I had captains and lieutenants once - when I tried to recruit street people suddenly it went back to regular mafia. Hope they fix it for everyone!)

 

5. Mystery Bags will soon be limited to 30 clicks. I wish I coulod accept all of the ones people send me!

 

6. Fight club launch is coming soon (for real this time). Sounds really cool but I am not sure how this is supposed to work.

 

7. The new fighting system will be called 'Arena,' and it will work similar to robbing. Cool! Face down individuals in a smackdown!!

In the coming weeks and months, the Mafia Wars team is rolling out an aggressive number of new features that are targeted at the “fighter”/stamina focused players. As you can see with robbing, stamina is becoming a more important stat in the game, and this will be even truer with the introduction of Fight Club (which will provide fighters with a private Marketplace), Street War and Vegas Tournament Fighting. You’ll soon see an awesome revamp for Boss Fighting. Each of these fighting-centric features takes fights to the next level, and will make you care even more about how you defend your turf against other players. Player vs. Player interaction via fights has always been one of my favorite things about Mafia Wars.

 

If you are a fan of current fighting, we are not changing normal city-based fighting in any fundamental way (other than the exciting addition of the Animal type), so you should feel free to continue to add Skill Points to your Attack and Defense stats. A simple run down on the impact:

 

*Energy players are going to find themselves hurting.

*They appear to be targeting the main group of energy accounts, loot accounts.

*They are making you work for your loot, making it hard to max in the top loot. Making it so you have to earn and buy the loot from the faction store, making a large quantity of the top loot non-giftable, and I can only guess on the tokens, but it will prevent players from accessing funds to buy the loot by fighting their own loot accounts.

 

They will continue, after Paris, to throw Challenge Missions into the mix, so prepare in the coming months to be overwhelmed.

MW players went gaga in promoting new top mafia only to find out that Zynga rolled back the old top mafia (mastermind, wheelman, etc) ysterday afternoon/last night (depending where you are..)

the top mafia achievements are still in the list though..

THE NEW TOP MAFIA:

 

Apparently this DOES replace the old top mafia, so you have to do it... and your Street War values (whatever the heck THAT means) increase/decrease depending on WHO you pick!! So pick BEASTS in the game, that you are good friends with also!!

 

When picking people to promote, it seems to pick 500 people in your mafia AT RANDOM... so if you don't see people you really WANT to promote... just keep refreshing... eventually, with a lot of patience (and perhaps a lot of alcohol) they will show up for you to promote them.

 

We're also hearing reports of Zynga giving LOTS of Baht, Rubles, GF's, etc because they made errors in the transition... so if you haven't received that notice yet, keep checking on your properties... it just might pop up for you....

 

One really GOOD change they made: they moved the "ask mafia to attack" button!! YAY!!! It's on the left side now!!!

 

 

ALSO, here's a list of changes that are "supposed" to be happening soon:

 

1. Mystery Bags will be limited to 30 clicks soon.

 

2. New Lotto Collection coming (still not sure what bonus this so called lotto collection will give)

 

3. Las Vegas Coming this summer (mid-June/July 2010)

 

4. Customized characters that can be voted on for the PRESTIGE award/achievement. This is going to replace the SAFE HOUSE.

unfortunately, i too have confirmed that carnaval is not too safe for tourists.. i think it is just like any other country with a not-to-safe place for its visitors, we have quiapo and divisoria area. though some have been warned, but it doesn't really stop foreigners going to quiapo church or buy cheap stuffs in divisoria.

maybe, just be really careful and bring what you just need. probably don't bring your wallet but bring money and put it in a "secure" pocket. asking the hotel concierge on what to expect, where to go and what to see would be really handy, at least for me for these are things i normally do.

from what i am seeing, carnaval is a must see. ingat nalang siguro..

2. if you have more than 500 mafia members, they will "rotate" on the list since 500 members is the limit on the list of who to promote..

**the challenge is making street crew reach level 20 - most of them usually inactive players.. or create 6 new players

zynga is continually changing the robbing game.. as far as i can see, they are making it "fair" for everyone esp for new players and low level players. they have also made a time limit of when you can rob a person AGAIN
