  1. hi!

how do you say "welcome back" in Icelandic, or whatever their language is :flowers:

Kwento naman jan! For starters, sino kasali dun sa Reykjavik Jazz Fest? hehehe

....and nope, we're not the same old people - we're just older :upside:

cheers! tell us about Viking wine, if there are any...

walang viking wine dito...too expensive pero i have tried my hand at home brewing a couple of wine kits: a slightly sweet berry wine and a shiraz kit from australlia. The shiraz turned out great but the berry wine was only good for spritzers.

bods...walang geting old ek ek for wine lovers...everyone matures fine :-)

  2. Hi Rain! Welcome back? Where are you now? As I recall, you were heading off to Europe somewhere there's good wine, I hope!

Everything alcoholic is expensive in that part of the world.

@bods...yes, I am back and while a feminine touch may be great, I am also sure that the gentlemen in this thread are doing well.

The other night, I had the pleasure of sharing a bottle of Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand with my Brit business partner at the Marco Polo poolside. It hit the right note with the weather being humid and hot. I wonder if this brand is one of the so-called "critter wines" in the OZ-Kiwi market made for the mid-market?

  3. oh...i don't mean Bacchus opening a branch here. Was speaking metaphorically...like, the tribe/followers of the God of Wine Bacchus. It's too bad really that you only stay a day. Schedule time for an overnight trip and I will show you wine shops all over the city. Most of them are owned/run by friends, so it will be interesting (I think).

  4. I'm not sure if pareng masi was aware of it...how was it?

I thought you were now in the Land of the Volcanoes :)

If you're here in Manila, give us a holler so we can have an impromptu WEB with you - magaling kami ni pareng masi sa mga biglaan hehehe....

Signed the contract and all that...waiting for the entry permit. Although, the hospital that hired me is already paying me a small allowance as sort of a retainer thing. Never thought that nurses were THAT in demand :P Anyway, am still going but in a couple of months pa. Did not expect this new development (delays with the entry permit since there is no Iceland consulate or embassy in the Philippines). Meanwhile, I bum around...been traveling a bit and attending/giving seminars left and right. How's everyone?
