  1. Ilithyia: (about Varro) I've never seen a gladiator f*** before. Look at the way he rams her, like an enraged bull.

Nakakaaliw yung "innocence" ni Ilithyia when she said this, and dun sa katuloy nung scene. LOL! Kulang nalang sabihin nya, "PA-NEXT!"

I think the guys who posted before me have a point. It doesn't make much sense to call the "prequel" SPARTACUS: Gods of the Arena when it's about Batiatus. I propose, Blood and Sand: Gods of the Arena as a compromise.

    edit:

    Here's my mistake:

I finished watching Game of Thrones first before beginning to watch this franchise. I loved the realism and the production of GoT. After finishing it, I began watching Spartacus and then the shift to the videogame-like gore pervading Spartacus smacks of CGI overload, but has its own virtues nonetheless. GoT is rawer. Spartacus feels gimmicky in comparison, therefore. But I'm not hating on it. How can I if it provides 19hours of entertainment?

My two cents it this: If you plan to watch Game of Thrones and Spartacus, I'd say finish Spartacus first, "Blood and Sand" and then "Gods of the Arena". And then go on and watch Game of Thrones.

  2. I am blessed to answer yes. I would like to think that my current situation is a result of my collective conscious decisions in the past. I say I am better off in more ways than one. I am being so abstract but I will summarize my point by putting it all under "answered prayers".

What turns you off the most about people?

  3. Imagine riding with the khalasar, you can't stay all pristine and purttty. (How dare you say laspag!) Hahaha.

You imagine that. I'll imagine it the other way around, okay?

Well, I tried substituting the "L" word for something else but it was purely visceral that I chose to go with it. Here's something I find hard to swallow. In the book, she's supposed to be in her earliest teens! :ninja: And her innocence is broken by the Horse Lord? Towering above all his men, the strongest of all and the itty, bitty, frail, beauty who is just beginning to bloom. How he mounts her with brute, primitive instinct (doouble :ninja: ). And so, madam, could you please propose a much better term than the "L" word? :D

  4. it's not as mainstream as say, WoT. i think the more adult theme and writing style make it so. still in my top 5 fantasy series though.

I like the more adult presentation. I suffered through the first chapter of Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I never picked it up again.
