  1. They also had Gulliver's Travels and my all time favorite Wait till Your Father Gets Home.

The father's voice in 'Wait till your father gets home' was so iconic in the guise of Tom Bosley....he then went on as Howard Cunningham, father of Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) in HAPPY DAYS. Ron Howard went on to become one of Hollywood's top directors

  2. I remember Ralph Macchio (the original Karate Kid) who guested in Eight is Enough, from then on he starred in The Outsiders directed by Francis Ford Coppola then the Karate Kid films. I also remember Leif Garrett who was a teen heart-throb in the late 1970s, he also starred in The Outsiders whose character was killed early on.

  3. We got YWCA Fort Canning Lodge at S$138 per day via online booking, the location is just a walk away near Orchard Road and the Dhoby Gaut MRT station which is an easy access to all attractions in Singapore including Universal Studios Singapore. YWCA Fort Canning Lodge has a nice breakfast buffet and a swimming pool.

To go to Universal Studios Singapore from YWCA...go to the Dhoby Gaut MRT station and drop-off at Harbour Front MRT Station then at Vivo City 3rd level then ride the Sentosa Express Monorail to Resorts World Sentosa where you will find the Unversal Studios Singapore

  4. I was at the Universal Studios Singapore last week and had a nice time except for the heat and the humidity of Singapore.

an easy and cheap way to go to USS is by way of taxi but if you're with your family I suggest you take the MRT, drop at the Harbour Front MRT station then go to Vivo City level three, ride the monorail and drop off at the Resorts World Sentosa

  5. We visited the newest attraction at the Manila Ocean Park on a Palm Sunday March 28, 2010. Reports say that the attraction was recently launched on March 26, 2010 so lucky us.

Acquatica is a spectacular light and water show blended with pyrotechnical works and choreographed stage play. It tells a simple, inspiring story backed up by captivating music and dramatic multi-media effects of pyrotechnics, synchronized water jets that squirt water 20 to 40 meters high, and bursts of flame.

It is similar to Singapore's musical fountain show in Sentosa Island and IMHO, I can say that Acquatica is more innovative in terms of effects because the show incorporates fireworks and flames not seen in the musical fountain show in Sentosa !

It is located just in front of the entrance of the Manila Ocean Park. Prices is P300 on weekends, P250 on weekdays or you can avail of a discount price of P500 which includes two attraction - The Oceanarium and the Maiden of the Sea show in Acquatica. Show starts 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm daily. Best for family fun and entertainment this summer !

  10. MANNY PACQUIAO on TIME Magazine Cover

    http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx229/dcrjmed2014/tumblr_ksnr6wgbTC1qzcshlo1_250.jpg

On the heels of his first primetime television appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and his recognition as a 2009 Gusi Peace Prize laureate, boxing phenom Manny Pacquiao now finds himself on the cover of TIME Magazine Asia edition as part of a five page feature story on the boxing Champion that will be included in all editions (global and US market) of the magazine hitting newsstands this weekend. With the population of Asia being the largest in the world, Pacquiao is overwhelmed with the idea of so many people seeing his face on the cover of such a prestigious magazine.

“I absolutely had no idea that when I started my career in boxing, to provide a better life for myself and my family, that I would now be where I am today and on the cover of TIME Magazine,” said Pacquiao. “A fighter’s dream is to win a world title and gain financial stability. But what is happening to me now is the most humbling experience of my life. It is a great honor for me to be the face of my people and to let everyone know we are a small but mighty country. I have great pride for all of the Filipinos living throughout the world and it is these people that I fight for each and every time I step into the ring.” (Fightnews)

  11. Amazing, Manny Pacquiao's on intensive training for his Nov. 14, 2009 bout against Miguel Cotto and yet still has time to guest on TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel and sings! while Miguel Cotto is seriously locked inside his gym sweating out, Manny wins on points!

  12. A new attraction at the Manila Ocean Park is now open. It's called JELLIES: DANCING SEA FAIRIES. An exhibition of assorted Jellyfishes synchronized with music and lighting effect giving a sense of seeing 'aliens' from a different world. The amazing Jellyfishes with its translucent gelatinous body reflects light giving an enchanting glow to their appearance.

I am delighted that these sea wonders which brought awe in Ocean Parks of the world are now here in the Philippines specifically at the Manila Ocean Park.

Manila Ocean Park is located behind the Quirino Grandstand at the Rizal Park, also near the historical Manila Hotel. Prices P150 per person (Adult and Child)

I have seen the same Jellyfish attraction at the Ocean Park Hong Kong, it has the same concept, same design but different music played (at least, when I visited the place). The music played in Hong Kong, specifically at the Jellyfish columns, was fast-paced and upbeat synchronized with light colors. The music played in the Philippine counterpart is a slow orchestral music although giving a soothing effect while watching the Jellyfishes. Different strokes for different folks (or countries).

  13. There's an added attraction at the Manila Ocean Park, it's called JELLIES : DANCING SEA FAIRIES ...it's an exhibit of different kinds of jelly fishes, because of the transparency of its non-exoskelatal bodies it absorbs light when lighted upon, pulsating lights in perfect synch with the music makes a nice entertainment. I've seen this one just like the Jelly Fish Sea Exhibit at Ocean Park Hong Kong

  14. there is another typhoon in the early 1970s that hit Manila...it was likened to the bible quote 'it rain 40 days and 40 nights'....I remember it rained for several days non-stop, can't remember the name of that typhoon maybe it was Yoling also...

I had a tshirt like this one, it was written 'Thrilla in Manila Oct. 1, 1975' ...the fight had to be scheduled in the morning of Sunday Oct. 1, 1975 Araneta Coliseum, Philippines to accomodate the U.S. audience saturday night Sept. 30, 1975

  16. I've read an article just now that Manny decided to train in Baguio as opposed to Freddie Roach's proposal which is in Mexico. Roach doesn't like the idea of Manny's training in the Philippines because of too much distractions. Roach also advised Team Pacquiao to get serious because Miguel Cotto is the most hardest foe he'll ever face in his career.

I hope Manny gets back to his senses and forget the glitter of showbiz, it's one illusion that he have to accept and face reality...and that reality is from Puerto Rico.
