Except for credit cards and car loans from banks, hindi talaga ako umuutang from friends and family. Neither do friends and family borrow from me. Maids and other help, mandalas.

Depends on a lot of factors like lifestyle, financial capacity, proximity etc. I personally like the space I enjoy with my house. About a few years back, I rented a high rise condo unit near my workplace. Since I was so near my place of work, I took my,time preparing. Wow it took 35 to 40 minutes to go down the lobby using the lift. After a year when the rent contract expired, balik bahay na ako. The congestion at the elevator was so stressful.
